While I was using the leg extension machine, I was quietly talking on my phone—barely above a whisper—when a staff member came over and told me I needed to get off the phone. I explained that I wasn’t disturbing anyone and was speaking very quietly, but he still insisted it was policy. I was honestly shocked that something so harmless was an issue. As a result, I decided to cancel both my membership and my wife’s. I never expected to be asked to hang up my phone while working out, especially when I wasn’t bothering anyone.
