I want to take a moment to sincerely thank the incredible nursing staff for the care and compassion they showed during my time at the hospital. From the very beginning, the nurses were attentive, patient, and genuinely kind. They consistently went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable, informed, and supported. I came to South Miami Emergency Department Hospital in a lot of pain. I traveled from Texas with no family. Joy(RN) and Jasmine( ED tech) took very good care of me. Their professionalism and dedication were evident in everything they did, but what stood out most was their warmth and empathy. They treated me not just as a patient, but as a person, which made a difficult experience much more manageable. I am truly grateful for their hard work and the positive impact they had on my recovery. The hospital is very fortunate to have such an outstanding team of nurses.

Great treatment from medical professionals. This hospital makes you feel like you are in a 3rd world country when they refused to perform an MRI. This test was necessary for the complete diagnostic process yet they didn't get it done. I had my back surgery performed here in 2013 but things have changed since then.

I had the pleasure of having Joy as my RN during my visit, and she was amazing. Very attentive, made me comfortable, and answered any questions I needed. I love her, and thank her for making me feel better. Blessings Joy. We need more people like you in healthcare.

I decided to come here because it was on my way, and it was too late to go to the ER. I have no complaints about the reception staff; everyone was very friendly. However, the doctor Dr. Baldino Walson .currently attending to me is absolutely arrogant and horrible. If he doesn't like his job, he should find something else to do—or better yet, open a private practice and see if his patients can tolerate that terrible attitude of his. If he has personal problems, that is not my problem. My insurance—or I myself—is paying for this service; I am not asking for charity. It is incredibly humiliating to go to the ER seeking help for a medical issue, only to have your self-esteem and emotional well-being damaged by the staff. You already feel terrible because you don't know what's wrong with you or what the future holds—isn't that burden heavy enough? Having to endure an arrogant doctor on top of that simply isn't fair. The trouble with companies like this is that they hire doctors just because they happen to be friends or relatives of someone on the inside—doctors who mistreat patients and lack the very humanity and compassion that Baptiste claims to champion so heavily. To encounter doctors like this is truly disappointing.

I received excellent service today at the South Miami Hospital ED. It started with Jasmine, paramedic, in triage, followed by the ED Tech (I believe his name was Ed) who was incredibly kind and professional. My nurse, Jennifer, and Dr. Patricoff were both amazing! I was in and out quickly, and my diagnostic tests were handled expeditiously. Even though I live all the way down in the Redlands, I wouldn't go anywhere else but SMH.
