Every step of my visit with AFC in Seminole was amazing. The front end person that greeted me with a smile and helped me with all of the instructions I needed to check in, to the Nurse Practitioner, and Mr. Egan being cautious with my shoulder injury and amazingly attentive to every angle and getting me what I needed to walk out confident that I will be on the mend in no time.

The provider was great!! Super personable, listened, and very nice! The girls at the front desk, not very personable at all. Overall, not a bad experience. But the people behind the desk are the first impression, maybe be a little more personable towards people. I considered going elsewhere after checking in, but the provider made the visit worth the wait.

That was the most amazing experience I have ever had with a health care facility. Bed side manner off the charts. I came in bleeding and had to have stitches but left laughing. The doctor I had I think her name was April. Phenomenal! what an asset to your urgent Care. And the gentleman that was helping her not sure what his name was but he was phenomenal I can't say enough about these two people. And the nursing staff phenomenal they were all superb I can't say enough of what a great experience it was. Not so much for me but to have them take care of me the way they did I can't say enough of how amazing your urgent Care is on seminal boulevard. Anazing

Honestly, I usually don’t leave posts but I am a little taken aback. I checked in for an asthma attack. It took a while to get back which is fine, they are busy and I wasn’t dying but i was coughing and wheezing badly and clearly struggling. Vitals are taken and yes, O2 is 95% but pulse of 135 bpm….. That should set off flags for a healthcare provider. But arguably, I had done a breathing treatment before coming in. So, it could be explained. It took an hour for someone to come in and see me as I coughed and wheezed and struggled. When she finally came in, I couldn’t carry on a conversation because of coughing and wheezing and she decides it’s best to ask me about meds she looked up that I was prescribed the day before and then lecture me about them being incorrect. Then listened to my lungs. She didn’t go into how long I have been feeling bad, my whole presenting history. Then ordered solumedrol and a neb. IM injection straight to my sciatic nerve, that was great! I am now in searing pain. Then one breathing treatment later and kicked out the door. Documentation indicates my vitals were rechecked with a heart rate of 106 bpm which is incorrect, no one rechecked vitals. Also it was noted I am not pregnant or breastfeeding which is incorrect for BOTH. That was never asked. But the vitals, not only falsified but any provider would know that my heart rate would likely not have improved because I just had another treatment. So… 135 bpm presenting then improved to 106 bpm post duo neb…. Pretty unlikely. The care- One treatment was likely not sufficient but, she decided because of the prior nebs before coming in, one was all I could get. I left tight, wheezing and coughing still. Education time- I am a PA in the ER. I hedged on mentioning while I was there but decided to let it go. -if history was actually taken, I had been sick and coughing for 2 weeks. Had a chest XR done at work yesterday showing a retro cardiac pneumonia. History of asthma and this was an acute asthma flare today on top of already being treated pneumonia. If you asked about my whole presenting history, I would have told you that. Per UpToDate the treatment for a healthy, not immunocompromised person with no PCN allergy is Amoxicillin 1000mg TID X3 days PLUS macrolide or Doxy. Macrobid being Azithro 500 daily x5 days. NOT a z pack which does diddly. So yes, risk of cdiff is present but that’s the proper CAP treatment. If you’re worried about c diff- treat the patient properly with antibiotics and tell them to start probiotics. -Breathing treatments can be given for patients who need them. We give back to back nebs and even hour long treatments all the time for asthma exacerbation in the ER. Let the patient rest after the first treatment for 10-15 mins and reassess. Some asthma exacerbations need multiple nebs to treat. Thanks for your time. I don’t mean to be an ass but, this experience wasn’t exactly the greatest.
