Intercoastal Medical Group offers multiple laboratory draw stations for your convenience, staffed by trained and experienced technicians. Most laboratory tests are conducted at Intercoastal Medical Group's main laboratory facility in Sarasota. Some specimens, depending upon insurance requirements, are sent out to reference labs for processing. The main lab facility also includes an in-house histology lab where pathology specimens collected from patients during office visits and during procedures performed at our ambulatory surgery center, are prepared to be sent to our contracted pathologists to determine if various cancers or other diseases are present.
