I've had more experiences than I would like with pharmacies, but I have always been pleasantly surprised by Apotheco's impeccable customer service, and ability to communicate clearly. Sometimes, it can be difficult to get a clear answer on a prescription, be it confusing communication with the physician, insurance, pharmacist, but Apotheco has aways been wonderful, clear, and concise. Every phone call I have had has been wonderful, and I don't groan at the thought of calling, like I have with other pharmacies. Whatever they do here for customer service training is working well!
I’ve relied on this pharmacy’s text-message refill system for months without any issues — until now. Between Nov 17 and Dec 8, I received three texts stating that my prescription was expiring soon and had a remaining refill. The final message urged me to refill immediately. However, the texts only showed the first three letters of the medication name, not the full name.
I only use one medication from this pharmacy, so I assumed (reasonably) that the refill request was for my current prescription. I submitted the refill — even though it was a $100 medication I had hoped to delay until after Christmas.
The next day, I noticed the charge was $28 higher than normal. When I called, I was shocked to learn they had refilled an old prescription from February, not the medication I’ve been taking consistently for the last 10 months. Both medication names are unusual and start with the same letter, and the text system did nothing to clarify which one it referred to. And honestly I had forgotten about the previous RX because I hadn't used it since last February
When I explained the situation, the pharmacist told me that if the product had already been delivered (which it hadn't), I could not return it because "I had requested the refill". I tried to explain that their refill texts were misleading and did not identify the medication clearly. Instead of helping, she was dismissive, closed out my refills, said she’d “contact the shipper,” and hung up on me — leaving me unsure whether my current prescription has also been cancelled.
Very poor customer service and communication. Mistakes can happen, but how a company handles them matters. In this case, the pharmacist/manager was rude, unprofessional, and offered no real solution. Extremely disappointing experience.

Had them ship me my medication. Had to walk the delivery driver through how to deliver it to my condo for over five minutes. He said it was delivered but it never was. It has a to be checked with the front desk staff so I know no one stole it. Then since I waited over a week to report it which I know is a long time but I’m pretty busy through the day. They told me I waited to long and there’s nothing they could do for me. Just my experience, looks like others are happy with their services.
