I have been using Target Optical for over 5 years and despite many disappointing experiences I continued on and now reached the pinnacle of inefficient service. Ordered tested glasses on 2/19/26 told waiting for completed glasses would be 2-2 1/2 weeks. I waited only to receive a call that due to processing the frame I gave was damaged and I should attend the service office to choose another frame so I did and expected that it would be expedited. It took another 2 1/2 weeks again. I made many phone calls, visited the office but to no avail. It seem that they just don’t work for the same Target customer. Several excuses, Manager was aware, I just have to wait until I receive a message of completion. I have resolved that this is my last visit to Target. I also chose the frame after their damage and the cost was less than the amount I paid but no one could give me any response to a refund of excess I paid. Customer service is the main challenge. I received the message today 3/20/26. Picked up approx 12:10 pm. Sure a call to BBB is pending.

I went to pick up my sons glasses today, I spent $900 at this place, I walk up there was a younger girl on the phone working and an older lady looking at her cell phone, when I walked up and told her I got a call the glasses were done she had an attitude and said “i didn’t call you” then proceeded to tell me how “lucky” I was that I got there before she went to lunch…… she already looked liked she was on lunch since she wasn’t paying attention, and told the other girl she should have waited to call people….. thanks for calling cause it’s been 3-4 weeks trying to get glasses from these people, I will never use this place again

I purchased Ray-Ban prescription glasses with anti-reflective coating from Target Optical in Sanford at the beginning of March/ end of February. The glasses cost over $500 with insurance, but when I wore them at night the glare was so bad I could barely see, which made driving dangerous.
When I went back, Jennifer was very helpful and tried to find a solution, but the replacement lenses were not compatible with the frames. However, the manager, Cheryl, made the situation unnecessarily difficult when my husband tried to request a refund, saying it couldn’t be done without the original printed receipt—even though the purchase was on his card and we had the email confirmation.
In the end I had to leave work and go to the store myself, and they were able to locate the receipt information anyway. I appreciated Jennifer’s help, but the overall experience with management was frustrating and disappointing for such an expensive purchase.
Apparently you also cannot speak to anyone above Cheryl as she controls the way to reach them. So an email is being sent to corporate as well.
I did email at the email provided and haven’t been reached out to as of yet. This is as of 4:20 pm EST on 3/16:3036

Doctor and his assistants are great. HOWEVER, front office lacks customer service. No greeting, no eye contact, they sit and have conversations with each other before assisting or acknowledging customers, and some how also think taking a “quick” walk in customer is okay though there have been other customers waiting. Also, they keep upselling everything instead of giving you a lower cost option like the Target brand lenses. I asked for basic and no add on, yet they kept giving me costs that included other add ons (anti glare, blue light, ect) not requested. It’s happened multiple times, so they must get some type of commission
