    I went to AFC Urgent Care in Riverview today and it was a wonderful experience. Every worker there from the front desk to the folks that work in the back ( practitioners, PA's, person taking vitals, etc.) is an asset to this place. Everyone is extremely accommodating and they go the extra mile to make sure your experience is met with thoroughness and kindness. A special shout out to my Nurse Practitioner, Tracy. She is very knowledgeable and spends the time with you to make sure she is addressing all of your concerns with genuine care and with a smile. Tracy, you're the best!!!! If you hate going to the doctor, fear no more. Go here and you'll never hate it again.

    I was surprised when I went in for having stepped on a nail, and wondering if some debris remained in the wound. The NP was very nice, but said they "don't remove foreign bodies here", and said I would need to see a podiatrist. She also urged an x-ray to see if anything was in it, but there was no xray tech available so I had to go elsewhere for that. She provided a referral, a tetanus shot, and antibiotics. I had severe side effects from that drug, with which I am dealing through my regular GP. The xray was ordered stat on Friday morning, I went directly to the imaging center, and was told it would be read within an hour. I called that afternoon for the result, which was not available yet. The same thing happened on Saturday morning. Today is Monday at nearly 5 pm, and I have heard nothing from them yet re. the xray. I had to download the imaging center app, create an account, and then log into MyChart to find the results. Those were uploaded very shortly after my imaging visit. I'm just waiting to see how long it is, if ever, that they call me with the result. That is unacceptable patient care. I was also dismayed that they could not remove a foreign body and had no xray tech.

    The front desk staff were friendly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the experience went downhill with Hayle Scott. Her attitude was unprofessional and disrespectful. After charging us, she provided no support or guidance, leaving my family member completely unattended. It felt like we were charged without receiving the service we paid for. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place based on what happened. ⸻ El personal de recepción fue amable, lo cual se agradece. Sin embargo, la experiencia cambió completamente con Hayle Scott. Su actitud fue poco profesional e irrespetuosa. Después de cobrarnos, no brindó ningún tipo de apoyo ni orientación, dejando a mi familiar completamente desatendido. Se sintió como si nos hubieran cobrado sin ofrecernos el servicio correspondiente. Muy decepcionante experiencia. No recomendaría este lugar basándome en lo ocurrido.

    I had a bad insect bite that I tried to remedy with home care but after a few days it only got worse and infected so I decided to get professional help. The staff was very friendly and attentive from the moment I walked in, the clinic is clean and all the forms you have to complete are electronic (which I prefer) the Doctor was able to get a good amount of the infection out and get me on antibiotics. I was finished with everything in about an hour. I would recommend them!

    Unfortunately, our experience today at AFC Urgent Care Riverview was not the best! My husband arrived experiencing difficulty breathing; we had called ahead and were informed that they could assist us—at the very least, by stabilizing his breathing—before taking the necessary steps regarding his case. The service at the front desk was excellent; however, once we were taken to the exam room and attended to by RN Hayle Scott (we were only told her name upon leaving, as she didn't even identify herself when she first attended to us), the care we received was of poor quality. Logically, given his respiratory distress, his blood pressure and oxygen levels were not going to be optimal; yet, far from administering even a small amount of oxygen, she performed an EKG on him while he was in that condition. She then told him to go to an emergency room because she could do nothing further, stating that she needed to "cover her back" and avoid taking any risks. We explained that we had just moved to Florida and that my husband's employment—and consequently his health insurance coverage—was still in the process of being finalized. Therefore, we explained that we could not afford an emergency room visit at that moment, and asked if she could simply stabilize him a little with some oxygen (without administering any medications); she flatly refused! We found her attitude to be completely lacking in empathy and to pose a significant risk to my husband's health! Please take appropriate measures regarding this matter. Furthermore, I urge anyone seeking services from this facility to ensure that the staff working there is adequately prepared to care for patients who are entrusting their health—and their lives—into their hands.
