  The absolute worst experience I’ve had in the 17 years of eye exams. At the time I needed an eye exam to renew my contact prescription, I was going to Walmart Vision Center, but due to losing my insurance, I was calling around to see who had a lower cost as I was paying out of pocket. Over the phone with Target I was quoted $80-100. I arrived for my appointment and was already taken back as I was waiting over 15 minutes for the employees to stop their personal conversation to attend to the patients. Afterwards, I was told the cost was $256 - much higher than what I was quoted. When I asked why the price was higher, the young girl told me it was “per eye”. I had left without the contact fitting as the females doing my exam were not professional and they made me feel very uncomfortable. I reached out to Customer Sevice, in which they had me fill out a form and advised me the store would get back to me - after 6 months as reached out again with still no response. I had submitted 3 customer forms since July 2025 and still have yet to hear from this store, which led me to write a review.

  I’m definitely going to be changing eye doctors for both my daughter and I. My insurance covers standards contact lens exam so I decided to do contacts for my daughter and they never explained or brought up that they now only do premium contact exams and called me the next day saying I owed them money. That is absolutely unacceptable, they need to tell their patients, please beware before this happens to you. Then not to mention the person that took care of us yesterday at first said we didn’t have the prescription approval then turns out that we did. He had us under someone else until he finally figured it out, it was just a mess and I will definitely not be going back.

  Horrible experience. Doctor refused to perform my eye exam without photos. Waste of time. I really just needed a new prescription for contacts but services were refused due to declining photos.

  Well, I would give zero stars if there was an option for that. Yes, at first people were friendly, but got the bait and switch was trying to get contacts that were daily use and multifocal with a slight stigmatism correction. I know these actually exist, but the sample was ordered, but never came in and then I was told two months later that they were not dailies, but actually monthly. I made myself a very, very clear. My eyes would only tolerate daily use. First time I’ve tried contacts. Now nobody calls me back. And yes, my benefits have already been used for the exam and such so I’m kind of stuck.
