Very disappointing experience. I scheduled an 8:00 AM appointment and even took time off from work to make sure I could attend. I arrived on time, only to find that the office had recently changed buildings and never communicated this to patients, which caused unnecessary confusion before even getting to the appointment.
After driving to the new location. When the office opened at 8:00 AM, employees were still getting ready for the day instead of being prepared to see patients, despite the fact that 8:00 AM appointments were scheduled. Because of this, I still was not seen until around 8:30.
Once I was finally called back, the staff seemed completely unorganized and unsure of what they were doing. One staff member mentioned a required glaucoma test and that they would not be dilating my eyes for the test, then the doctor came in and said they were going to dilate them after all. The conflicting information between staff and the doctor showed a clear lack of communication within the office.
I was also told they would not perform a routine eye exam unless I agreed to a glaucoma test, which previously resulted in a large charge billed to my medical insurance last year. That requirement was never clearly explained beforehand.
At that point, the entire visit had already been a waste of my time, especially after taking time off from work just to show up and end up canceling the appointment because of the confusion and additional testing requirements.
Between the staff not being prepared at opening time, the long wait despite an early appointment, the building change with no notice, and conflicting information from staff, the experience felt disorganized and unprofessional from start to finish.
Patients deserve clear communication, transparency about testing and billing, and respect for their time. Unfortunately, this office did not provide that.
I understand it's possible that I may have scheduled the appointment incorrectly, but that still does not explain why a doctor would refuse to perform a routine eye exam unless I agreed to an additional glaucoma test. A simple correction or explanation would have been appreciated instead of refusing to see me altogether.
This created a major inconvenience. I took time off from work, showed up on time, and still left without being seen, which now means I still cannot purchase the contacts I came in for because the doctor refused to complete a routine exam unless I agreed to additional testing.
It honestly felt like the focus was more on pushing extra tests that cost more money rather than helping a patient who came in for a basic exam. Regardless of scheduling confusion, refusing a routine eye exam over this makes no sense and is extremely frustrating.
Overall, this was a ridiculous experience and a complete waste of time. Patients should not have to deal with this level of inconvenience just to try to get a basic eye exam.

I gave my glasses frame (in excellent condition) to Florida Vision Institute at Tradition to replace lenses. Two weeks later, I received a phone call from Florida Vision optical associate, who informed me that my frame broke. When I got my frame back, I saw that it was broken in three different places. The manager Leanne said that a technician broke the frame while trying to remove the lenses because he had no experience of working with this type of frames (ic! berlin). Leanne also told me that I could buy a new frame from them with a $150 discount. She refused to give any compensation for my frame. It looks to me that Florida Vision Institute breaks customers’ frames on purpose in order to sell their own frames. They also trick their customers into signing a waiver in order to get away with this scheme. This is not the right way to do business.

If you value your time or are on a tight schedule avoid this place. The last two times I had an early morning appointment they called me 20-30 min after my appointment time even getting there 15 min early. Today's appointment after them already rescheduling me once their software was down (not the staff's fault) and they sent the whole lobby home to reschedule. Go anywhere else but here.
Florida Vision Institute & Katzen Eye Care. Marc, the manager at the front desk has a smirk on his face each time a patient complained. I sat and witnessed several complaints and then, when I checked out, I took had a concern with the miss-communication of a payment required for an eye exam that I clearly stated on my medical paper work NOT to perform unless my insurance covers it. When I checked out, I was being charged for it. I asked to speak to the manager for clarification. Instead of Marc being understanding, he stood in front of me and "smirked" as if it was funny. I was almost in tears. ALL OF MY DOCTORS WERE AMAZING!! THE FRONT DESK EMPLOYEES WERE ALL AMAZING!! Marc, the customer service front desk manager was horrible and needs training on how to kindly speak to patients seeking medical treatment. He is apparently in the wrong industry because clearly he lacks compassion.

My mother is a patient of Dr. Bobo and was recently seen in the new office space. Dr. Bobo and her staff were kind and patient with her exam. My mother is in good hands with her eyes and Dr. Bobo’s staff.
