I had high hopes for my experience at this YMCA, but I was very disappointed during my recent visit. When I asked for help at the front desk about the e-membership, I was met with dismissiveness. Instead of answering my questions, the staff member insisted I sign up for classes immediately and made me feel like my inquiries were a burden. The tone was rude and made me uncomfortable. While the facilities may be fine, I expect better treatment as a paying member. Due to this experience, I’ve decided to explore other gym options, as I no longer feel comfortable here. I hope future members receive a more welcoming and helpful approach.

We love the Y because of the amazing kid care! The gym itself is great — clean, updated equipment, and everything you need — but what really makes it special is how I feel when I drop my kids off.
They’re not parked in front of a TV zoning out. The kids are always playing, interacting, doing crafts, and actually having fun. Today my daughter walked out with her nails fully painted — she thought she had just left a spa. Such a sweet surprise!
And my two-year-old… bless him, he’s a lot sometimes 😅 but they handle him with so much patience and love. The staff know every child by name, and it’s the same familiar faces each time, which means so much. They truly get to know your kids.
I genuinely could not recommend this place enough. It’s such a gift as a mom to feel that kind of peace when you drop your babies off.

Nice facility. Good dry sauna, and hot the way it needs to be. BRING YOUR OWN TOWEL AND LOCK. They don't have either for guests.

The front desk staff will always greet you as you are walking in or leaving if they are engaged with a patron. This place is popular for the older population during the day and younger population in the late afternoon. Signs limiting cell phone use while on machines is not enforced by staff, which leaves people either waiting for a long time or abandoning the exercise to prevent confrontation. The cardio machines were just upgraded. There should be an airnasium schedule posted at the court entrance. There should also be a way to drain the water away from the court when it rains as it makes the floor wet and dangerous to play on. This facility is overall a great location and better than other YMCA facilities I have visited.

WORST GYM I HAVE EVER BEEN TO
The equipment is new, the gym is clean, and the location is very nice, but that's where the compliments end.
Today while bench pressing, an unsupervised teenager tried to take a plate off my bar AS I AM BENCHING. Yes, laying on the bench, holding the bar in my hands, about to lower it to my chest, an unsupervised hyperactive teenager with a broccoli haircut tried to take a plate off my bar. I was stunned. That would have injured me and lead to lawsuits. I cannot work while injured so it would have really messed my life up. I noticed two teens treating the gym equipment like a playground and being spastic near me and moments later, as I lay down and unrack the barbell, one of the kids tried to take a plate off. I said what are you doing and he smiled at me and walked away like it's some kind of joke.
This is not the first issue I have had with unsupervised children at this gym. I've spoke to several members and everyone has the same complaint, poorly behaved unsupervised teenagers and none of the staff intervene.
This creates dangerous conditions and the gym is chaotic and annoying to workout at. I usually go to Brown Family YMCA but the weight room is closed for renovations and Nocatee is the next closest option but after today I will not be back. It is absurd how the staff do not take control of the dangerous situation created by annoying unsupervised children.
Another complaint is that I have never seen so many adults, who look like they are affluent and come from nice families, not racking the weights when they're finished. They just get up and leave the equipment. No wiping it down, no reracking weights, they just leave it. Such bad gym etiquette.
