I’ve been to many LensCrafters locations over the years, but this one is by far the worst one I’ve ever stepped foot in.
The whole place was incredibly slow and poorly organized. It seemed like there was only one doctor in the office handling everything while several sales associates were on the floor. Despite that, none of the associates could answer a simple question about the price of a contact lens exam. Instead, I was told I would have to wait for the doctor just to get that information, which is honestly one of the most ridiculous things I’ve heard. Pricing for a basic exam should be something any associate can answer.
When I asked about it, the associate told me it would be “awhile” because there were people in front of me and said it in a pretty rude way. I wasn’t trying to jump the line or demand to see the doctor. I was simply trying to understand why a basic question couldn’t be answered by the staff.
Overall, the customer service was disappointing. The associates either didn’t know the answers to basic questions or came across as annoyed when asked. The entire experience felt unorganized and poorly managed.
I’ve had good experiences at other LensCrafters locations, but this one clearly isn’t run the same way. Based on this visit, it definitely doesn’t seem to be managed well at all.

Samantha at the Pensacola Lenscrafter is the highest level representative I’ve ever worked with.
This was the most insightful and satisfying experience I could’ve asked for.
Instead of rolling the dice - like playing “The price is right”
Just go to Samantha
You will not be disappointed.

Kimberly made getting my prescription for my Meta glasses feel like much more than just a routine visit to an eyeglass store. She took the time to make sure I had the best experience possible by walking me through several lens options, explaining what my prescription actually means, and even sharing a bit about her story and why she chose this career.
What I expected to be just another stop at a corporate mall store turned into something far more personal, all because of one person’s genuine passion for what she does. I’ll genuinely look forward to coming back to this store!

This review is for the optometrist side of LensCrafters in the Pensacola mall. After coming in for a walk-in eye exam I was told that I could not opt out of any of the additional exams eg, dilation and photographs. All I wanted was a simple eye exam. What happened to getting an eye exam with all of the extra add-ons?

Great, quick, and easy service. Was able to go in and reshape my sunglasses I accidentally sat on for free. Great customer service
Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.
Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?
A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
What is the difference between an eye exam and a vision screening?
A comprehensive eye exam is administered by an optometrist and can detect not only vision problems but problems with eye health and general health as well. A vision screening is typically performed by a general medical practitioner such as a pediatrician or a nurse. While a vision screening can help identify vision issues, it can miss many important issues that a comprehensive eye exam can identify. This is why everyone is encouraged to get annual eye exams. Schedule your eye exam today!
Why should I get an eye exam?
An annual eye exam involves more than just updating your glasses or contact prescription. A comprehensive eye exam can also detect eye health issues as well as general health problems. Conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure can be detected in early stages through an eye exam, and this can result in early treatment. Schedule your annual eye exam today.
What should I bring to my eye exam?
You should bring your vision insurance and medical insurance information to your eye exam. If you currently wear any prescription lenses, bring your eyeglasses, sunglasses, and contact lenses. You should also bring any and all questions you may have. Contact your optometrist if you have specific questions about any additional items you think you may need to bring to your eye exam.
