They met my needs after a serious fall making it possible for me to stay home. Caregivers were on time and worked hard to do what I asked in housekeeping, personal care, meal prep, and even helped with my pets. Thank you so much !

I was scheduled for back surgery in Pensacola on short notice. Family issues prevented immediate family from staying at the bedside after surgery and in the days post-op. I spoke with the Supervisor at Baptist Hospital to see if they had a “pool” of medical personnel who would be willing to do private duty and take the place of my family members but it turns out they didn’t. I called Home Instead to see if they provided such services and to my delight they did. All my interactions with the agency were smooth and uncomplicated. Dates and times were arranged and right on time the first of 5 ladies arrived. She was instrumental in helping me get up and in the chair right after surgery and then later taking my first small journey down the hall. These ladies provided the services that my family would have done. In and out of bed, trips to the bathroom, walking the halls, trips to the vending machine, assisting with meal tray-all the 101 things that need doing but don’t necessarily require the services of medical personnel. The best part of it all were the ladies themselves! They were so kind and attentive, caring for me as though I was a member of their own family. I can honestly say, even though the time was short with each lady, we became friends. Home Instead has definitely done their homework in whom they hire as caregivers and if I or any other member of my family need ancillary care, in or out of the hospital-the first call will be made to Home Instead. All in all, my experience was made 100 % better by the loving and caring attention of these women. When I look back on my hospital experience it will always be with gratitude that the small group of 5 women cared for me as if I were one of their own. If you need a stand in for a family member that can’t be at your bedside, by all means use this agency. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.
