Club Pilates Dr. Phillips is a boutique Pilates studio specializing in reformer fusion classes for anyone, at any age or fitness level. Pure to Joseph Pilates’ original Reformer-based Contrology Method, but modernized with group practice and expanded state-of-the-art equipment, Club Pilates offers high-quality, life-changing training at a surprisingly affordable price.
I truly dislike leaving negative reviews, but my experience with Club Pilates left me no choice.
I became a member during a very difficult season of life — my second child was not sleeping through the night. Rather than canceling my membership, I proactively contacted the studio to ask if my account could be paused or placed on hold. I was explicitly told that this would not be a problem and that I would not be charged again until I personally requested to reinstate the membership.
I even remember the exact day this conversation occurred and have proof that I physically went into the studio and made the call to confirm everything.
Fast forward to reviewing my statements last year, I discovered that I had been charged every single month during the time my membership was supposedly on hold.
When I contacted the studio manager, I was asked to jump through hoops to provide proof — which I did. After all of that, I was told I was essentially “out of luck” and offered only three months of credit, despite having paid more than triple that amount in error.
I then escalated the issue to Xponential Fitness, the parent company and franchisor. Unfortunately, the franchise owner never responded — not to me, not to my attorney, and according to Xponential Fitness, not to them either. I was directly told that even the corporate office could not get a response.
I have owned multiple businesses, and this is simply not how ethical businesses operate. You do not reassure a client that something is handled, continue charging them anyway, and then refuse to take responsibility when it comes to light.
This experience made me feel taken advantage of — especially as a new mother during a vulnerable time. I strongly caution anyone considering a membership here: get everything in writing, and think carefully before signing up.

I was excited to get back into Pilates after a long break, but this CP studio became a disappointment.
I did years of Pilates in the Chicago area after a C-Section birth of my son. It was an authentic Joseph Pilates Studio and I loved it. Unfortunately I got a back injury and I stopped going.
20+ years later, in January 2024, I found this Club Pilates here in Florida.
The greeting at the front desk was chilly each time I came, they never seemed to remember me. I was going at least 2-3 times a week. The instructors were knowledgeable but one in particular (Michelle) was very insulting to many of the patrons. I did hear she’s no longer there. The big disappointment is they just keep you at the same level. There was never any progression. It became monotonous. I was advanced in Chicago, and at this CP, I stayed at a beginner level.
They would offer workshops to see if you would be ready to advance, but I was there enough to be viewed during my scheduled lessons, why should I have to attend something that felt like a “tryout?”
I finally left Club Pilates in October 2024 and started at CARVE Pilates. There’s a completely different vibe at CARVE. They are welcoming as soon as you walk in the door.
They challenge you each time you come for your session. The instructors offer levels of difficulty and modifications for you to decide! I’m so strong now. My body feels coordinated and flexible. I’ve been there for over a year now.

I went to my first intro class at Club Pilates Dr. Phillips and absolutely loved it! Nat was our instructor — she was amazing! So friendly, professional, and made everyone feel welcome. She explained the machines really well, and her instructions were super easy to follow. I also loved her sense of humor when showing us how to position ourselves. I’m definitely signing up and can’t wait for my next class!

I attended their grand opening yesterday. Very nice place. Clean, well designed with lots of cool equipment and merchandise. Mellisa my instructor was very nice and thorough. She was just exuding positive energy which we all can use. Happy with my experience and atmosphere. Will for sure come back for another class!
