Dr. Cannarsa is an excellent surgeon. He is calm, professional, and takes the time to listen and answer questions. My procedure was performed in his office, and everything went smoothly. His support staff was also very caring and supportive throughout the entire process. I highly recommend him.
Apex Brain & Spine provides expert medical care in a highly personalized, responsive manner. All my calls were answered by a person, who thoroughly answered my questions and/or transferred me to a staff member who could. Contact with Dr Cannarsa was equally expert. He spent time with me, listened to my description of my back pain. Using my CT scans as visual reference, he showed me the cause of my discomfort and described the surgical procedure he would employ to bring me relief. My most complimentary comment is that the process unfolded EXACTLY (perhaps, even better?) as Dr Cannarsa described. Except for discomfort from surgery, my previous pain was completely eliminated. Two weeks after surgery, I have virtually returned to living a normal pain-free life. Dr Cannarsa and his staff have earned my highest unqualified recommendation!

TOO BUSY TO CARE! Deeply disappointed in this business! I was referred to them by my primary care because I have a serious ongoing neck issue. I made an appointment and meet with Dr. Sacino, who subsequently ordered a MRI after our visit because my condition continued to worsen.
I explained that I had 3 previous MRI in the last 3 years and to include that information for the insurance to approve her request for a new MRI.
Which they failed to do so the request was denied by the insurance after waiting over a week for the appointment that I had made.
I contacted the office and notified them of the denial, told them of 2 remedies to correct and keep my date. 3 days for Pier to Pier review or reevaluation.
The office could not accommodate either and I was told to reschedule the MRI by the office staff. Then I was advised by the office staff, that MY insurance was the worst to deal with and it was recommended to me that I change insurance companies.
Imagine that… how long that would take? For someone who is already showing severe symptoms for 3 years. The most insensitive thing a person could say…
I was in disbelief and thanked her and hung up. Only to receive a discharge letter from the practice for being rude to the staff.
Unfortunately, when your too busy to comply with a insurance company request for more information to approve and authorize the request you submitted, blaming the patient for your inability to comply in a timely manner is NOT the patient responsibility or fault.
Having your staff advise the customer to get a different insurance company because they can not comply with the request in the time furnished to respond is insulting and unprofessional.
Terminating me as a client without speaking to me about how your staff failed to act appropriately in the response to obtain a MRI is highly unprofessional conduct on your behalf.
Are you even aware of your office personnel suggestion to me to find a different insurance company to resolve the issue of YOUR inability to respond to them in a timely fashion to approve your request.
Imagine after waiting for over a week for a MRI, and being told you should just go get new insurance….
That is the Apex of insensitivity.
My wife and I see more doctors than we would like to and most of the time we experience an acceptable but detached professionalism from the staff. At Apex Brain and Spine, we left talking about the exceptional level of friendliness and personal concern which, co-mingled with first class medical care, left us both willing and eager to recommend Apex to anyone.

I saw Dr. Sacino regarding severe pain in my right leg and an MRI showing a disc herniation at L3-4. I had been through physical therapy and epidural steroid injections with no relief. Had seen two prior neurosurgeons who both recommended a fusion. Dr. Sacino was thorough, pleasant and obviously extremely bright. Her office staff were knowledgeable and treated me professionally. She felt I would benefit from a robot assisted endoscopic microdiscectomy. I am now two weeks post op and have zero pain. The whole experience was pleasant and I would recommend Dr. Sacino to anyone needing neurosurgical care.
