I had a diagnostic appointment scheduled for my child at this location, and unfortunately it turned out to be a complete waste of our time. After driving all the way from North Miami, I was told upon arrival that additional paperwork was needed. When I scheduled the appointment, I specifically asked if there was anything I needed to bring and was told only my ID. To make matters worse, the representative at the front desk stated he did not know how to retrieve the paperwork and then said the form had never been signed by the physician. If the document was never signed, then why was the appointment scheduled in the first place after the insurance authorization had already been received? In addition, the waiting area was grossly infested with flies, which is completely unacceptable for a healthcare facility. This is not the first negative experience I’ve had with this location, and after this visit I will definitely not be returning. Honestly, there should be an option to give zero stars, because nothing about this visit even warranted half of one.

The registration and medical staff we engaged with were polite and helpful. Beware, however, if you have a healthy child who is there for an outpatient service. There is just one waiting room, mixing kids who are there for outpatient services with contagious children who are there for urgent care services. We are experiencing many flu cases in our area and when we went, there were several children with respiratory symptoms, not wearing masks, and coughing nonstop in the same waiting area as kids waiting for non-sick reasons, such as xrays, therapy, etc. Making it worse was that even though we had an appointment for an outpatient service, we waited for almost an hour for registration and to be seen, all the time concerned that our child, who was healthy when they walked in, would develop an illness from being in the waiting room. It is disappointing that a medical facility for children does not take even the most basic measures to prevent the spread of disease.

We had an appointment at 1:45 pm with Dr. George and waited for 2 hours. After that we waited an additional 30 min inside the waiting room. After a long wait, we had to wait yet ANOTHER 15 minutes for our x rays to be delivered ( even though they had been taken an hour prior) The waiting time is terrible here and the staff didn’t seem to matter. This shouldn’t be the timing specially for a pediatric service.

Scheduling outpatient physical therapy services is awful. My son had knee surgery at Nicklaus ten days ago so I thought it would be logical to use Nicklaus for physical therapy. One call to the outpatient services phone number resulted in a 20 minute wait. In that 20 minutes, I spoke to two reps who each said it is not their job to schedule PT and transferred me to another "department". When I finally spoke to someone who could schedule an evaluation physical therapy appointment, I was told the next available appointment is over 2 months away. The scheduling rep placed my son on a waiting list. What a waste of time.

SERIOUS QUESTION. Is it possible for the orthopedic services line to ever answer the phone?
