  I had a great experience here for an annual eye exam and contact lens Rx update. This was my first time going to a hospital/surgeon for an evaluation- I've been to chain eyeglasses stores and a private practice physician in Jacksonville that I didn't feel provided great follow-up care. From my initial phone call, to the quick appointment scheduling, to the kind and knowledgeable staff- I'm glad I chose to come here. It was a little confusing knowing which building to enter and which floor the office is on- I would recommend better signage outside if possible. The receptionist got my paperwork started quickly and there was no wait time to be seen. The medical staff member who helped with the majority of my eye testing was fantastic. Dr. Swinehart was thorough and efficient fixing my prescription- I'm seeing better than ever! The trial lenses arrived quickly and I was not charged to test them. When I called to ask for a prescription it was processed the very next day by Elisha. My previous doctor ignored my historical astigmatism, took weeks to get my trial lenses and then billed me to pick them up. As I work in the medical field myself, I understand how much work goes into having a smooth appointment flow and excellent patient care. I greatly appreciate the care I received from Clay Eye Physicians and Surgeons- would absolutely recommend them to anyone!

  I had an appointment Dr Bullock at Clay Eye Physicians & Surgeons on 4/6/2026 for a cataract evaluation. From the moment I arrived I was greeted at the receptionist in a very timely manner er ; after that i went through the prioress of having measuremenrs taken, photos of my eyes taken etc. All this before actually seeing Dr Bullock himself.. I was impressed by the professionalism and how friendly everyone is. Dr Bullock was very nice but he shocked me by how young he is (looks early 20’s; actually according to him almost 40). . Putting age aside , he explained how my eyes weren’t “ripe” yet that at this point the risks outweigh the benefits, and to come back in a year. I checked out saying they’d send me a reminder letting me know when it’s time to setup my next appointment. I would most definitely recommend this Dr (Dr John Bullock) to everyone. This was a very thorough process & I am extremely satisfied to the point I will be coming back next year and when my eyes are “ripe” I’ll have Dr John Bullock perform my cataract surgery.

  Fantastic! One of the best visits to the eye doctor I have ever had. Dr. Frick is awesome. The staff are all really good at their jobs. A wonderful overall experience!
