    I would like to provide feedback regarding our recent visit to the Emergency Room concerning my daughter. During our visit, the doctor who evaluated her stated that her symptoms “did not make sense” and suggested that she may have been making them up. This was concerning and dismissive, especially given that her pediatrician had already evaluated her and specifically directed us to the ER for further assessment. The interaction became uncomfortable when the doctor began discussing his own personal neck issues, which did not feel relevant to my daughter’s condition or the reason for our visit. Additionally, the examination performed in the ER appeared to repeat the same brief checks that had already been done by her pediatrician (raising arms and legs, touching her nose). No additional explanation, investigation, or guidance was provided before we were told to follow up again with the pediatrician—the same doctor who had referred us to the ER in the first place. As a parent, it was upsetting to feel that my daughter’s symptoms were dismissed and that the visit did not provide meaningful evaluation or reassurance, especially considering the cost associated with an ER visit. I hope this feedback can be reviewed so that future patients and families feel heard and receive a more thorough and respectful experience.

    The level of attention and care we received during our recent visit on was disappointing.We arrived at the hospital at 7:10 AM, and while the registration process was efficient, we were disappointed by the lack of follow-up care. After our initial check-in, there was no interaction from nursing staff for nearly two hours. Given that we were seeking help for my son’s migraines, this was concerning. It wasn’t until a doctor entered the room that anyone checked on my son’s condition. At no point did a nurse come to assess his pain, take his temperature, or monitor his vital signs, including blood pressure and respiratory rate. This lack of timely checks persisted until we were preparing to leave the hospital, five hours later. We understand that hospitals can be busy, but the absence of basic care for a patient experiencing migraines is troubling. Ensuring that patients receive regular monitoring and attention is crucial for their comfort and well-being. I hope you will take this feedback seriously to improve the experience for future patients.

    I love this hospital, it’s our crown jewel in South Florida, however the care that my daughter received recently in their emergency room was sub par, and lazy. This statement does not reflect on the front desk staff or the amazing doctors that labour here, but unfortunately some emergency staff are so over their jobs, that they become dismissive. My 16 yr old child had been vomiting for 2 days and was severely dehydrated, as she could not hold anything down, hence the vomiting. After a 3 hour visit we were told to give her a Tylenol and some Gatorade. DO BETTER!

    Hello, I am writing to express my concern regarding our recent visit to the hospital on Saturday. We arrived around 3:00 PM after my child sustained a head injury and required a CT scan. We were informed that there was only one radiologist available for the entire hospital. The CT scan was completed around 4:00 PM; however, as of 7:39 PM, we were still waiting for results and discharge. What is particularly concerning is that I was able to view the results on the patient portal while we were still waiting to be officially discharged. This raises serious questions about the efficiency of communication and patient flow. I understand that healthcare settings can be busy, but having only one radiologist available for the entire hospital on a Saturday is alarming. This not only delays care but also places significant strain on staff, who appear overworked and likely under-supported. Additionally, while there seemed to be multiple staff members present at the station, the level of communication and customer service did not reflect the urgency or concern that patients in these situations deserve. Patients and families are already under stress, and prolonged wait times only add to that burden. Lastly, it was frustrating to be charged a co-pay at the very beginning of the visit, yet experience such delays in care and discharge. I believe this is a serious issue that needs to be addressed to improve patient care, efficiency, and overall experience. I hope you will take this feedback into consideration and review staffing and operational procedures to prevent similar situations in the future. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

    We recently had to take our child to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Emergency Room, and despite how stressful the situation was, the experience itself was truly reassuring. From the moment we walked in, the staff was kind, patient, and incredibly professional. You can tell they are used to dealing with worried parents and scared kids, and they handle it with so much compassion. The nurses were attentive and gentle, constantly checking in and explaining what they were doing in a way that helped calm both my child and us as parents. The doctor was thorough, careful, and took the time to answer all of our questions without making us feel rushed. That level of communication means everything in an emergency situation. The facility was clean and organized, and the team worked together seamlessly. Even though ER visits are never “fun,” the staff made it as smooth and comfortable as possible. We are very grateful for the care we received and thankful to have a children’s emergency room with such a dedicated team.
