I usually enjoy going to the doctor especially the eye doctor but after this experience I can see why some people feel hesitant about seeking care for their vision. I chose Blinking Owl Eyecare because it’s conveniently located inside the Target I frequently shop at, which made it seem like an easy and accessible option.
When I arrived, I was helped and seen very quickly, which I initially appreciated. I completed both a standard eye exam and a contact lens exam. My exam was conducted by Dr. Stephane Fitoussi.
A key part of a contact lens exam is the fitting, where the doctor evaluates how the lenses sit on your eyes and confirms that you can see comfortably with them. That step never happened during my appointment. I was never given trial lenses to try on, and I had to ask the front desk staff for a sample box myself. Trial lenses and a proper fitting should be a routine part of a contact lens exam, and the doctor should confirm fit and comfort before finalizing a prescription. I shouldn’t have had to advocate for that basic part of the process, especially if I am paying for such a service.
I will not be returning or recommending this place to anyone looking for a quality eye exam.

Dr. Fitoussi and his staff are friendly, effective, and consistently provide great service. Dr. Fitoussi took his time educating me on my eye health and signs to look out for if I experience any difficulties with my contacts or otherwise. The associates in the office are always so kind and helpful too! I’ve been coming here for years and highly recommend.

Dr. Fitoussi was an amazing doctor. He was very thorough with the entire visit. He recommended glaucoma test and recommended me to an ophthalmologist for further screening. Very knowledgeable and very helpful with my vision and what he recommends moving forward. Most definitely will be coming back and recommending him to family and friends.
