It’s taken me months to finally find the name of my nurse who helped me deliver my baby on paper 😂 Nardali or Navdali? I’m not sure she’s a younger nurse up in Labor and Delivery but I will tell you she is literally a God sent. Along side the midwife Cabanas I had suuuuch an amazing delivery! This is the second baby Cabanas has delivered for me and for that I an eternally grateful for such an amazing woman who truly loves her job and her patients. And Nurse Nardali was just soooo attentive and sweet by far the best nurse I’ve ever come across ever even outside of delivery. To both of you thank you for your love, your care, your kindness, and patience in on of the most important moments of my life. My heart is so full to be able to experience such kindness ❤️

Thank you Baptist West Kendall for taking great care of me today. From the moment I arrived at the hospital I was treated with great care, respect and compassion. My Dr. Madiedo and Anesthesiologist doctors who made sure to explain the procedure process. Nurse McDonald at pre-op, the pleasant Nurses in the OR who made me feel comfortable as well as the post - Op Nurses who made sure to explain the recovery process. I am grateful for all those who played a role in getting me in better health. Thank you all ❤️

I would like to recognize Ricardo, the CT technician who cared for me today. He was truly excellent throughout my entire experience. From the beginning, he took the time to clearly explain every step of the procedure, which made me feel comfortable and at ease. Ricardo demonstrated not only strong technical expertise, but also genuine compassion and outstanding communication skills. His professionalism and attention to detail were evident in everything he did. He truly exemplifies the Baptist Health culture of excellence, dedication, and patient-centered care. I am very grateful for the care I received and hope he is recognized for the exceptional work he does.

I am writing this review while still admitted in the maternity unit. While my experience with the surgical team during my scheduled C-section was excellent—my OB-GYN and the operating staff were truly outstanding—the level of care on the maternity floor has been deeply disappointing. After being transferred out of recovery, the quality of care significantly declined. Aside from one attentive night-shift nurse (sierra) and an a day shift -(Cynthia) nurse assistant, the majority of the nursing staff and support team have been largely unresponsive. Routine check-ins are minimal, and I have often had to call repeatedly to request updates, medications, or assistance. As a new mother, I expected guidance and support, particularly with breastfeeding, but there has been little to no proactive education or hands-on help provided. In other hospitals, staff typically introduce themselves during shift changes and ensure patients feel supported—this has not been the case here. Additionally, basic aspects of care have been delayed or overlooked. Meal service has been consistently late, and important postpartum care, such as fundal checks, was delayed for hours until I specifically requested it. My surgical incision has only been checked once during my stay, which is concerning. To make matters more difficult, my newborn required transfer to another hospital’s NICU. While I understand there may be policies in place, the inability to transfer with my baby as a first-time mother caused significant emotional distress. Keeping mother and newborn together whenever possible should be a priority. Overall, while the surgical experience was positive, the postpartum care on the maternity floor has been extremely poor. This has been a very stressful and disappointing experience during what should be a meaningful and supported time.
