They are the best being here many times however I am currently at the urgent care at Baptist Health on Bird Road, and I’m concerned about the use of strong air fresheners inside the facility. As a patient with allergies, these types of fragrances can trigger symptoms and make conditions worse for those of us seeking medical care. A healthcare setting should prioritize a fragrance-free environment, as many patients have allergies, asthma, or chemical sensitivities. I hope this practice can be reconsidered to ensure a safer and more comfortable space for everyone.

My visit to Baptist Urgent Care overall went well. The staff was kind, respectful, and treated me nicely during my time there. However, I had a major issue when it came to my prescription. I clearly told them to send my medication to CVS because that’s the pharmacy my insurance covers. For some reason, that was ignored and my prescription was sent to Walgreens instead. Because of that mistake, it took a full 24 hours to get the prescription transferred over to CVS so I could actually receive my medication. I had already been sick for a couple of days, and having to wait an extra day just made things worse. I’ve never had to wait that long for medication in my life. If the prescription had been sent to the correct pharmacy the first time, this whole situation could have been avoided. I also had some issues with CVS retrieving it, but none of that would have happened if the urgent care had followed my instructions. They really need to pay closer attention and listen more carefully to their patients, especially when it comes to something as important as medication.

We had a great experience here. From the moment we walked in, the Front Desk ( OA ‘s) greeted us right away and quickly got our information started. We didn’t wait long before being called back. My daughter was being seen for an asthma flare-up and was very anxious. Guillermo, the RN, was incredibly kind and comforting. He took the time to help calm her down and made her feel much more at ease during the visit. He even put “Get Well Soon” on her discharge papers. Dr. Jimenez was very attentive and asked detailed questions about what medications had already been given before arriving and explained what treatment would be provided depending on the results of the flu, COVID, and strep tests. Due to her asthma exacerbation, we discussed the additional steroids that would likely be prescribed. There was also a small issue with the pharmacy “not receiving” both prescription, but the staff handled it quickly and resent it right away so my daughter could get the medication she needed. The facility was very clean, the rooms were a good size, and the entire staff was welcoming and efficient. We truly felt well taken care of. Highly recommend.
