The technicians for mammogram, ultrasound and pelvic very good. This Baptist West location does not have the newest features, I have been going to South Miami women’s center for over 20 years and find they have newer equipment. Gowns do not have strings to tie closed or pocket to put key for locker. No plastic spiral to put on your key on your wrist. There was no stirrup on the table that I had the ultrasound in and it was difficult to hold the position for 20 minutes on my back and my hips. After finishing test, there was no bin to put the used account in. Location and accessibility at this location is great!

We recently moved here from Colorado. I have a family history of breast cancer and scheduled this appointment two months in advance. I was told to bring reports of previous MRIs and mammograms, which I did. I arrived to my appointment today and was asked if I had the CD so they can view my previous images. I told the girl at the front desk no and that I was not informed that I needed to provide the images. She then asked if I could go home and get the CD. I informed her once again that I do not have the CD for my previous images. A few minutes later, another woman comes out and proceeds to tell me that they cannot perform my MRI due to not having the previous images. As you can imagine my extreme disappointment, I became very upset, as this is a very important screening for me.
She asked if I could contact the previous facility to have them send my previous images, however at the same time, she also gave me a consent to fill out to release my records and said I can have the facility in Colorado send them my information. At this point I became even more frustrated and was wondering why she didn't offer to do this, as I feel this is their job to have obtained this information prior to my appointment. She did offer to do so and said I can go ahead and reschedule my appointment. I informed her that they can call me to reschedule my appointment once they get the information they need.
With my family history and my high risk of breast cancer, I hope and pray nothing develops until I can get my screening done.

MY REVIEW IS ACTUALLY -1 Star.
My 91 + year old mother went to the west kendall diagnostic center for an xray of the knee today. After check in, I requested the front desk to go in with her, but understood when they denied the request on the grounds that it was an xray.
What happened next was an utter disaster, carelessness and utter disregard for a 91 year old. The person took mom for a mammogram instead, asked her to undress, put on the gown, and left her there. Thank God for a good Samaritan who tried to assist her with the mammogram gown, and found her confused as to why she was undressing like this for a knee xray. To summarize, this helpful person immediately called for help, and eventually she was taken for the correct procedure.
DISGRACEFUL THAT THIS HAPPENED!!
NOT ONLY WAS THIS NEGLIGENCE AND CARELESSNESS, BUT TOTAL DISREGARD FOR ELDER CARE.
I AM STILL IN SHOCK THAT BAPTIST PRIDES ITSELF ON CUSTOMER CARE, YET ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN. I DREAD TO THINK OF THE NEGATIVE CONSEQUENCES THAT COULD HAVE FOLLOWED.
I expect someone to contact me.

Unfortunately, this was not a good experience at Baptist Health’s diagnostic imaging.
The mammogram technician mentioned that she had never had a mammogram herself because she is not yet 30. While I understand that may be her personal experience, it didn’t feel reassuring in the moment. She did emphasize that the procedure would be over quickly, but overall the interaction felt lacking in sensitivity.
Afterward, a radiologist requested additional images. When I later spoke with him, I found the interaction underwhelming. He recommended scheduling a biopsy and described it as a minor inconvenience that would not be painful. Having previously undergone a biopsy, I found this characterization dismissive and not reflective of the reality many patients experience.
A more empathetic and patient-centered approach—especially when discussing procedures that can be stressful and uncomfortable—would make a significant difference.
I would also recommend that anyone scheduling an appointment allow extra time, as the visit took considerably longer than expected.
