I had a great experience at Fishermans hospital with all of the staff and with primary care physician Dr. Kurt Eppley. The staff were so helpful and accommodating when I needed a very fast appointment for surgery clearance. They squeezed me in right away even though I was a new patient and made everything so easy. Dr. Eppley was very knowledgeable, kind and thorough. He spent lots of time with me and totally paid attention to me. I would highly recommend him. It was so nice to see someone who treated me like a person in this day and age of rushed medical care.

Let me first say Dr Leopoldo Arista-Salado was amazing.
1 star review is due to the Emergency doctor admitting, husband who is 70 years old and only has part A Medicare because he is still on my insurance, as emergency observation which means (we had no idea) that Medicare will not pay. They didn't tell us this.
Now we are paying out of pocket 5020.29 which is after our insurance paid a portion of the bill.
They need to be more transparent. I am sure they did not tell us and the $5020.59 that we are not having to pay is much more than Medicare would have paid for the service.
Unbelievable they only wanted the almighty dollar and not what is best for the patient.

I can’t speak highly enough about Dr Timothy Whitaker and the entire team that cared for me for today’s colonoscopy. Even before the appointment today, the team made sure I was prepared to do the “prep”. When I arrived today they all asked how it had gone. At every step, he and all of the nurses made sure I was comfortable and informed. Not only were they professionally expert and efficient, but they were also all so kind and warm. They made what is nobody’s favorite thing a much more positive experience. I am grateful.

I had to wait almost 4 hours after prep with an IV to have endoscopy. Dr. Jose Rodriguez was having trouble with computer program. . It was his first day at Fisherman's. He probably should have been trained on the system or problems resolved before scheduling patients. The registration and nurse staff were great and did their best to make me comfortable. Very disappointed.

The registration is a bit unorganized. There were at least 7 people waiting to register. There is no system to keep track of the order that people came in. An elderly gentleman got up when “next” was called and he actually came in after me. Other than that the registration went smoothly. I was called by the phlebotomist with a very short wait time . The phlebotomist was extremely friendly, efficient and confident. I am a hard draw and am used to being poked more than once. She had absolutely no problem at all. I believe her name was Kelly.
