  The doctor just waltzed into the examination room without saying hello and without even introducing herself to both myself and my husband. We will not be returning here.

  I brought my son in for an eye exam back in September. The plan was for him to get both contacts and glasses, but since he’s 11 and had never worn contacts before, he was a little nervous. We told the doctor we would skip the contact fitting for that day and just move forward with the glasses. Partway through the exam, my son changed his mind and decided he wanted to be brave and try the contacts after all. I let the doctor know, but they told me the fitting couldn’t be done that day. I said that was fine and asked if we could do the fitting when I returned in December for my own appointment. They said yes, that wouldn’t be a problem. Fast forward to today—while confirming my appointment, I also checked to make sure I could bring my son in for his fitting. I spoke with Alicia, the manager, and explained what I had been told. She informed me that because more than 60 days had passed, I would now have to pay a $75 refraction fee in addition to the $40 contact fitting fee. I told her I had never been informed of any refraction fee and that I was specifically told bringing him in December was fine. Her tone was passive-aggressive and condescending throughout the conversation. I requested to speak with Chris, the district manager, and am currently waiting for his call. At this point, I will not be returning to Pearle Vision. I will provide an update once I hear from Chris—assuming I receive a call.

  Upon arrival! The staff was very friendly and helpful. However, after my exam, I was handed off to a sales rep. The sales rep appear to be in training in which I was okay with her customer. But, I felt the glasses and prescription lenses turn into and up sales. She offered choices but did not know the cost. Then some of the choices appeared to be just shear BS. For ie….. I was told the basic transition lens ….. did not offer transitions when I was in my car…. If I want the best offer of transition lens I would have to up grade to the advance transition lens. But she did not know the difference in cost. She left to get confirmation of cost. When she returned I was told there is no difference in cost. Okay I ready to close the deal…… one more thing if you pay with a credit card you going to charge 3% on top of the taxes. Customer are not supposed to be charged extra when use visa credit card transaction. Any merchants that practice this method of pass visa fees to the customer is suppose to be reported to visa. I know it is employees who makes this rule of up-charge for the use of credit card transactions. It is the owner’s or corporation. Well let’s just say the lost a $600 sale today.
