- KDkaren daveyMar 20, 20261.0My husband and I made appointments and not one time did anyone say hey there is a mandatory retina scan that is not covered by insurance. We get there day of and we both had to pay 37 dollars a piece, I called my insurance company to see why I had a copay and sure enough I didn't. I called on a Thursday to ask why I was charged was promised a call back no one called back. I called again on Friday and the lady answered the phone stated the retina scan was necessary and not negotiable. Tell people up front about the retina scan, luckily I had extra money with Me. I would never recommend nor would I go back. Multiple reviews are complaining about the deceptive charge that you are not told about

Nowhere in the online site did it say we needed to pay $37 for a wellness check that is usually covered through the standard exam. Had to cancel both appointments since this is mandatory. Can I afford the extra $37? Yes. But it needs to be communicated BEFOREHAND because at the end of the day $37 can take care of other necessities.
