    Initially saw Denise before seeing the doctor and everything was going great. At one point she went to put eye drops in (to dilate them) and then suddenly stopped, saying that she wanted to ask the doctor if it was even necessary. After a couple minutes she returned and said that the doctor did not want me to get it done. I then saw Dr.Alvero Patino who did a very thorough eye exam, 10/10. However at one point he said "I want to do more tests but Denise said that you don't want to get your eyes dilated". I told him that wasn't true at all and that SHE had said that HE didn't want me to get them dilated. We kind of laughed at the miscommunication and as he prepared the eye drops he continued on, being very adamant that Denise had found him earlier and specifically said that she couldn't administer the eye drops because the patient (me) didn't want to do it (which never happened). Back in the waiting room now (as I'm waiting for the eye drops to take effect) Denise walked by and I asked her why she lied to the doctor and me. She completely froze. Just then Dr.Alvero Patino ran into the hallway "Please! Please! Don't get her in trouble!!,....it was me!.....I misunderstood her! Leave her alone! Please! Don't get her in trouble!" I was shocked. Moments earlier he was so insistent that she said I was the one who didn't want to do it and now here he was taking the blame and running cover. My take away is that she's on her last straw with the company, possibly gets in trouble a lot but he needs her around for some reason?? I really have no idea,. but it was certainly shady of her to tell me and the doctor different things and very odd for the doctor to change his story when I confronted her.

    Extremely dissatisfied. My mother has been waiting a month for her prescription eyeglasses that she was supposed to receive within 2 weeks of her exam. I have call various times and at different times of the day, no one answers the phone at the Optical's extension or returns my calls after I have left multiple messages. Avoid getting your glasses done here!

    I’ve been coming to this office for the past 16 years, and my doctor has always been outstanding. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was disappointing due to the front desk and technician experience. The receptionist who handled my payment treated the interaction more like a transaction than patient care. I asked the same question twice regarding whether my visit would be considered a follow-up or a full visit (especially since dilation and corneal imaging were being performed), and received no response at all. I eventually had to contact my insurance myself to get clarity on what to expect. Similarly, when I asked the technician if he could check whether my current glasses matched my previous prescription hoping to avoid unnecessary expenses, he said he would. However, after briefly checking, I was moved along to dilation without any explanation or answer. At the very least, I believe patients deserve clear communication, or even a simple acknowledgment if answers aren’t available. I truly value my doctor, but the lack of communication from the support staff made this visit frustrating.

    My experience with Florida Eye Clinic was very positive. My cataract surgery went well thanks to Dr. Parks and his staff, who restored my faith in eye surgeries and procedures, as I was very hesitant about it at first, due to a past experience. He considered my specific situation and needs in the short time we had. It made it feel safer and worth it. It is very hard for doctors today to make you feel better than a number due to the volume of patients and the little time they have to spend with each. But even with that reality, Dr. Parks was able to make me feel special and better than one more number. The rest of the staff at the local Florida Eye Clinic were very helpful and friendly, especially the young technician who gave me the eye exams before seeing the doctor. For the volume of people you have, you manage to smile and remain caring. Kudos for the Kissimmee Florida Eye Clinic!
