KoR whitening is a combination take home and in-office whitening system. The first step is to make sure you are a candidate for whitening by having a brief exam with the Doctor. Second, custom bleaching trays are fabricated which you wear overnight for two weeks. Lastly, an in-office session is completed to give you the final boost in whiteness you have been looking for.
How long does CEREC onlay typically last?
A CEREC® implant can last anywhere from 10 to 15 years, but the real advantage is with CEREC®, the procedure is done in a single appointment, start to finish.
What can CEREC technology be used for?
Sirona's CEREC Omnicam's revolutionary design features an ergonomic hand piece and special optics to guarantee unsurpassed intraoral access. CEREC and other technologies can be used together to create a number of different dental prosthetics, including crowns, inlays, dental implants, dentures, and even some orthodontic appliances.
Does 3-D imaging expose patients to a lot of x-ray radiation?
Your imaging is accomplished with an extremely low effective dose to you. Depending on the field of view and resolution required, the dose is similar to two round trip flights from New York to Los Angeles, or roughly 0.28 mSv.
What are some of the advantages of getting 3-D imaging scans?
3-D imaging with Cone Beam Volumetric Topography (CBVT, sometimes referred to as CBCT) allows us to quickly and safely diagnose many conditions related to your oral health. It also allows us to accurately image vital anatomical structures, making implant placement and surgical procedures safer.
What are dental implants?
Dental implants can help give you your smile back after loosing or having a tooth removed. Dental implants are artificial tooth roots that can secure restorations like crowns or bridges.
What types of dental implants do you specialize in?
At Ata Dental, our dentists specialize in placing effective zirconia and titanium implants at our two Orlando-area offices. Visit us online to get started.
What are some of the advantages of dental implants?
After losing a tooth, you can restore your smile with dental implants. Some of the advantages include:
- Implants fuse with your gum and jawbone, replacing any tooth root
- They can last for decades or even a lifetime with expert placement and proper care.
- Can hold a variety of restorations in place. From crowns to replace a single tooth, to dentures to support a full arch.
What should be considered when deciding on dental implants?
Everyone's mouth is different so it can help to know some of the requirements for dental implants eligibility, like:
- Having Sufficient Bone Tissue, or Being a Bone Graft Candidate
- No Relevant Metal Allergies
- Healthy, Healed Gums (No Gum Disease)
- No Teeth Grinding
Can dental implants work with an infected tooth?
Frequently, our prospective implant patients have decayed or damaged teeth. Those teeth must be extracted before we place their implants, abutments, and restorations.
What dental implant restoration technology does your practice use?
Our in-house dental lab allows us to create high-quality, natural-looking restorations without extra turnaround time. We proudly use Sirona's Orthophos XG 3D to scan the inside of your mouth. This gives us precise 3D imaging of your oral structures, and a more accurate and accessible view of each tooth. Then, we take the results to craft custom, lifelike restorations for dental implant patients with our CEREC® CAD/CAM system in as little as an hour.
What are common dental emergencies?
Some of the most common dental emergencies include:
- Tooth extractions
- Treatment for toothaches or knocked-out teeth
- Repairing broken or chipped teeth
- Broken crowns and fillings
- Abscesses or swelling
- Wisdom Tooth Pain
Most of these emergencies can be treated in our dental office. If you are having doubts about whether you need an emergency appointment, give us a call or send us a text.
When should tooth pain be treated by a dentist?
See a dentist if you have toothache that lasts more than 2 days or the pain does not go away when you take painkillers. Additionally a high temperature, pain when you bite, red gums, a consistent bad taste in your mouth, and/or your cheek or jaw is swollen are all signs that emergency treatment may be needed.
Do dental crowns look real?
Dental crowns are a restorative solution that offer stunning cosmetic benefits. We have the resources to create dental crowns that meticulously match the shade of your existing teeth, giving you a natural-appearing smile in no time.

However dental crowns, and any other procedures, that are requested purely for cosmetic reasons typically will not be covered by insurance. That's why Ata Dental provides specific financing and membership pricing to make cosmetic procedures more affordable and attainable.
