Sanette doesn’t even deserve 1 star. I had an extremely disappointing experience with Jupiter Drugs and would not recommend them for hormone therapy. After starting a compounded HRT troche she prepared, I began experiencing significant lower abdominal bloating and pressure. I contacted the pharmacist for guidance, which is exactly what patients are told to do if they have questions. Instead of providing helpful information, I was met with a dismissive and condescending response suggesting my symptoms were due to food and that I needed to “move my body.” This assumption was completely inappropriate and had nothing to do with my situation. For context, I exercise daily, walk roughly 90 minutes a day, maintain a very healthy diet, and weigh 106 pounds. Also Sanette stated that Testosterone does not cause bloating. Coming from the fitness world as you can see from my profile picture, she is dead wrong this isn’t my first rodeo! She had already lost her credibility at that point. Clearly she is not educated enough in HRT to be advising anyone. Sanette accused me of giving “conflicting” information about my dosage. The prescription label they provided clearly states “Try ½ first.” I was doing exactly that. When I clarified this and even referenced the written instruction on the label, the conversation deteriorated further. Rather than addressing the issue or having a professional discussion, I was simply told: “I think you should find another pharmacy.” Patients deserve to be treated with professionalism and respect when asking reasonable questions about medications they are taking. Being dismissed and spoken to in a condescending way when trying to understand side effects is unacceptable. Sanette you should indeed be ashamed of the way you treat people. And reading some of these reviews i’m clearly not the only one.

I’m switching pharmacies. I paid one price when I picked up a prescription, but when I got home, I noticed the box had their own price tag on it for a lower amount. Mistakes happen, so I called to ask about the difference...receipt and item in hand. The gentleman I spoke with was unnecessarily condescending. This is why they get 1 star...not the price mistake. I wasn’t rude, and I think anyone would reasonably call to ask about a price discrepancy. There are plenty of pharmacies that not only charge correctly, but treat customers with basic courtesy.

Today was my first time using Jupiter Drug’s pharmacy. I have been hesitant bc of some of the negative reviews. I am glad that l overlooked the few negative reviews, because l found the people here to be friendly , professional and knowledgeable. I stopped at JD bc Wallgreens didn’t have my medication in stock and said that it might be a couple of days until it was available. I then drove over to Jupiter Pharmacy/ Drugs and they had the inhaler in stock . Stephon ( who works behind the counter ) was fantastic and called Walgreens to ask them to cancel their order so that they/JD could process it, 15 min later l walked out with my prescription and also with my regular prescriptions being transferred over, bc Stephon was so helpful and knowledgeable. ( I noticed that he called the man behind me by name and asked him how he was) . This is a small , hometown pharmacy and everyone seemed caring and competent. l would rather bring my business to a privately owned pharmacy and support small businesses.

I'm disappointed that I'm in the position to write this negative review. I had so much hope that Jupiter Drugs would become my new, hometown drug store. I had been told many good things about it from people that had gone there years ago. On my first visit my Rx couldn't be found because my birthday was entered inaccurately (ok, human error I thought). That day I met Sanette. She took me to a private room for a consultation regarding the purpose and use of my medicine. Though she never introduced herself as the Pharmacist, I greatly appreciated learning and listening to her. I left very happy and excited to think I'll have a place to come to for my medical needs. I called her days later because I thought I might be having a side effect to the medicine. When I called to ask her, she became defensive. She showed no empathy, and repeated things that she told me when I met with her previously. I tried explaining that what she was saying wasn't relevant to what was happening to me, yet she would 't hear me. I asked her if there was something I could take that could help. She showed no patience, and her reply was as if I was dumb and she offered no advice. I returned to pick up my next Rx. Once again, the Pharmacy Technician could not find my Rx because this time they spelled my name wrong. After I paid for my Rx I was told that Sanatte wanted to review my meds. When she came to the counter, I shared with her that the Rx was supposed to be a troche and not ointment. She then became curt, condescending and reactive telling me that the Rx is a lotion NOT an ointment! I calmly replied that my doctor and I agreed that I would take a troche. Once again with a reactive tone she told me that is not what the Rx says. I asked her why she is being so reactive. With an uptight face, staring me down she denied what I said. I replied that it's Friday after 5:00pm and my doctor's office is closed. I said that I wouldn't take the medicine because it isn't what my doctor discussed with me. With an attitude she abruptly told her technician to give me my money back. When I questioned her tone and lack of customer service, she told me she isn't being reactive. I told her to look at the cameras she has on her wall so she can see her rude attitude towards me and that I would not be coming back to their pharmacy. I asked the tech who is the owner/manager. He told me that she is. I said, 'Well then, I'll share this awful experience through my review and let my doctor know". When I got home, I went to look at the reviews online. I saw that several other people had similar complaints. Evidently, this is not the same supportive small business that it once was.

This use to be a reputable business now has the worst customer service. Steve is rude and a poor sales person. My family will never do business at this place again. I will also tell everyone I know. There are nicer medical supply stores in North County.
