  This place is fantastic and the Doctor showed me all that I needed for now. I spent time here and learned to take control… I came in with back pain and Dr Andrew resolved my pain by providing exercises. I even have recorded the exercises so I can study them. It’s important to follow the provided techniques shown. Who got me to this place ? My wife strongly suggested I go to a specialist that deals with curved back. With me I bend over while on a phone and when I stand I’m bent over. This is a major problem and gives me back pain to the point I can’t lay on my back comfortably. I have so called taken control and continue the exercises provided. Doctor also followed up by showing me key pointers from a book: McKenzie Method. I have the instruction videos of myself and the book. Next, it’s up to me to Take Control and continue the exercises. Doctor is the most knowledgeable Physical Therapist, that I know. I have been to many PT locations in the area. Dr Andrew, I feel, was the only therapist to identify and explain why I’m in pain. Think about it, you go get help at some place, and they tell you to do a few exercises and come back next week. But Doctor Andrew explains things one on one, private sessions. And you feel better with an understanding of why pain and what to do to help me. Thank you Doctor Andrew

  I’ve struggled with my scoliosis since my teens, suffering pain and limited mobility that continued to worsen with age and having children. Dr. Andrew’s approach to pain and movement is unprecedented in my experience. He utilizes a variety of techniques including the Schroth method. I’m so thankful for immediate pain relief within the first appointment, through movements and exercises I can do on my own! My mindset has shifted from “how do I orient my life around this pain” to “how do I want to get stronger and move better!” Thank you Dr. Andrew for sharing your gift and keeping me motivated to work on my healing.

  I strongly recommend Andrew as he helped me when chiropractic and massage couldn’t help me find relief, and now I’m back to surfing and spending time with my family outdoors!! 5 stars!!

  I can’t say enough positive things about my experience with Dr. Merget and the team at Take Control Physical Therapy. From the careful assessment of my overall health, to the customized treatment plan that not only took my injuries and concerns into account, but also considered my busy schedule, timeline for recovery and physical limitations. Within a short time of beginning my treatment with Dr. Merget, I went from constant pain and discomfort to a completely pain free recovery. Where I once couldn’t pick up a towel off of the ground without tears, I am now able to play 18 holes, pick up my 50 lb dog and run a 5k without a trace of pain. I am forever grateful to Dr. Merget and Take Control Physical Therapy! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  I have never been to a physical therapist. I always used chiropractors or just push through it as a tough guy,Gen X, but going to doctor Mergett has taught me techniques, movements, and exercises to get immediate relief without having to schedule a doctor's appointment with anyone. The education, his warm patients, and the results are real. Very much appreciated. Thank you so much!
