Lots of fun activity many people that is why a lot of classes are held. The only downside is because of many people the equipment might not be the newest. They recently just had a new renovation so and added new features such as massage chairs

In regards to child care, I think it's important that parents know that there is currently an employee in the KidZone who sleeps on the job despite the room being full of babies and toddlers. She is a danger to the children in our community. I immediately let her know that she needs to wake up and take care of the children. I also let the front desk staff know and they called Mallory who is the director of the child care program and they let her know what is happening. I also emailed Tim who is the director of the Winston YMCA to let him know. I will update this post with their response. The other KidZone employees are great but I have noticed that the quality of the care has decreased since the sleepy employee was brought in which was recently. It took months for me to trust by six-month-old son with anyone else and now all trust is broken.

The Winston YMCA is very clean. The amount of exercise machines is limited with only 1 of each in most cases (no hip thrust machine). The worst element of this gym by far are the locks on the locker room lockers. Whoever approved this horrible lock system you are FORCED to use should be fired. The front desk attendants are constantly having to bring a master key into the locker rooms to open lockers where the client is locked out and standing there in only a towel. You can do better with this Winston YMCA.

Hoping this review will be seen by the management that was responsible for so said "renovation" of the second floor. You have done a terrible job. Invaluable piece of equipment for functional training and calisthenics was removed and replaced by the cookie cutter gym machines. There was a petition that a lot of members signed for this equipment NOT to be removed. Every person I talked to at the gym today said they used that equipment and have hard time structuring their workout with the new set up. Even the personal trainers who work at the gym said they were fighting for this piece of equipment to be kept! So my question is: if so many people needed the equipment and used it on daily bases, why weren't our voices heard? Why was the whole floor space taken over by more machines? Was this whole renovation done for the members or was it some kind of money laundering scheme? Our family won't be contributing to this gym any longer. If our voice is not heard we are better off taking our money somewhere, where our needs are respected.
