Jeff Stout at Fletcher's and National Mobility & Seating deserves five stars! He provided truly exceptional service for almost seven years, helping us navigate the process of getting not just one, but two power wheelchairs. His expertise and dedication made a huge difference. Highly recommend reaching out to Jeff for any mobility needs!

Yesterday, I visited the Jacksonville branch regarding an ongoing issue with my power chair. I have worked with NSAM staff for several years, including many who joined from Fletchers Medical Supplies after the acquisition. During my visit, I spoke to two technicians: Tyson and “Junior.” Junior, whom I have previously worked with, was helpful and demonstrated understanding of the issue at hand. He is currently managing a few work orders for me to address the problems efficiently. Tyson, who typically serves as the traveling technician, demonstrated valuable expertise during the visit. in the initial diagnosis of the power issue and noted that it may require additional attention. Throughout my interactions with Tyson, I have observed that he possesses strong technical skills, However, there is an opportunity for improvement in acknowledging and appreciating the knowledge and experience of patients, particularly those familiar with equipment behavior. He has a habit of talking over people and comes across as a know it all. With extensive firsthand experience operating both power chairs (from age 15) and manual chairs (from age 3), I am well-versed in their maintenance and battery management. Tyson recommended adjustments to my daily routines to help conserve battery life, such as seeking shaded areas along my commute to the bus stop and school where I’m employed. Over the years, I have rarely encountered repeated issues requiring multiple visits for repairs or battery replacements. It is important to note that reliable mobility equipment is essential for many individuals with disabilities, as it enables us to fulfill professional and personal responsibilities. Unlike temporary conditions, ongoing access to functioning equipment is necessary for maintaining independence and meeting obligations.

I recently received my new wheelchair from National Seating & Mobility. Jeff Stout has helped me with my chairs for many years now and is great. This time was no different and he helped me with the process and last adjustments needed. He really knows his stuff about the chairs and he truly cares! Overall a great experience and I'm very happy with my new chair!

Our son has a disabling condition called Larsen’s Syndrome. It causes multiple joint dislocations, spinal deformities, severe pain and osteoporosis as well as neuropathy and other disorders. He has a permanent tracheostomy. Yet NSM saddled him with a power wheelchair so small that he has to add two cushions to the seat. The back and headrest were already too low and this makes it worse. His breathing difficulty along with cervical and thoracic deformities make it especially important that his neck and back be properly supported. They are not; NSM doesn’t care. He doesn’t have full flexion in his knees so the seat should be high enough to account for this. But it isn’t; NSM doesn’t care. We complained to the technician who delivered it and have made subsequent phone calls to the company for months, all to no avail. The physician ordered another evaluation to rectify the situation but the NSM therapist still refused to exchange the chair for one that fits him. I don’t think JD’s condition and limitations have been properly assessed but they do not seem interested in doing so. The chair is still in the rent to own time frame so what is their problem? Why is NSM being so difficult? Medicare will only provide a chair every five years. Something has to be done!
