Worst hospital ever. Evil lurch's behind the facade of a beautiful building. Very rude staff treat you like trash. Never go there. You may not even come out alive if you go there

If you have Sickle cell DO NOT COME HERE!! I repeat DO NOT COME HERE!!! I came in with a severe pain crisis. The nurse had never seen a Hispanic sickle cell patient In the 10 yr of working there. I have a port in my chest to get IV's and blood drawn because with my Sickle cell, I have really bad spider veins they blow / collapse instantly can't even get blood back. The nurse lied to me said that was my last resort to use my port and went on to poke me a failed miserably! The port is there for that reason, so I don't have to get poked for nothing. Then Doctors refuse to give me 2 mg of Diluadid, when my normal is 3 mg. I have been on high pain meds since a kid and have built a tolerance over 30 yr. They basically made me deal with the pain because the doctors refused to give 2 mg, that It was against their policy. Yet I have been given that 2mg dose in EVERY other Baptist hospital (ie.: South Miami, Main Baptist and West Kendall )except homesteads apparently. I have spent the last 8 hrs in pain with 1 mg Dilaudid IV ,1mg of Toradol IV and one 5 mg percocet by mouth. I made my someone bring me my home pain meds to medicate myself by mouth on my own and with in the the HR I was finally getting relief. This hospital just looks pretty and clean but the Doctors need to be educted more on pain management and she nurses as well with Sickle cell symptoms and listen to there patients instead of doing what ever they want. I didn't not leave the hospital because I still need to see a surgeon for the necrosis they found. But by far one of the WORST experiences in Baptist hospital ever. STICK to Jackson Memorial Hospital for better care and results.

Allí nacieron mis dos hijos, un lugar hermoso, impecable, la mejor atención que halla podido tener, las enfermeras atentas, cariñosas, pendientes cada minuto de nuestro cuidado y además de nuestros familiares, es un lugar como no hay otro!
