The eye examination itself felt rushed, and I had to return the following week to see a different doctor to correct my prescription, which is not a complicated one. I have comprehensive Humana Vision insurance, which includes a $10 copayment for an annual exam. I understand that a contact lens exam can sometimes incur an additional fee, but in the past I have only paid around $30 to $40 more, totaling roughly $50. In this case, I was charged $140, and the front desk staff struggled to clearly explain how the charges were calculated. When I asked for a sample kit with solution and a storage case, the response from staff felt dismissive, leaving me feeling like an inconvenience rather than a valued patient. The office was not busy during either visit, which made the lack of cleanliness and attentiveness even more concerning.
