Check with your EyeCare Center to see which insurance plans are accepted. Eye exams available at the independent doctor of optometry at or next to Pearle Vision. I came on time for my appt this year and the lady at the front desk was telling me that my insurance is not covering eye exams this time around. I asked her if I could call my insurance quickly to see what’s going on (because they didn’t do this and they should have). She said that I could but I would miss my appointment. I asked why they didn’t call and tell me this ahead of time and she said that they did. I listened to the voicemail and checked the messages I received from them, none of which were calling me to let me know this. They were all automated reminders for my appt. I have the voicemail and messages saved and went back to check and I never got a phone call about this. Meanwhile I took off work for this appointment. I called my insurance and had the hiccup cleared within 5 minutes. However, the lady at the front desk had such an attitude with me I will not be back and I’ll be scheduling my exam elsewhere.
