- BBBarbieDec 9, 20251.0Useless company, when you call they send you to the headquarters and then transfer you to the office you originally want to speak too in this case the Doral office. After final being transferred, I got Paola and explained that I needed to order a replacement piece for father's wheelchair. She kept asking me if he was a client I said no I just want to order a piece and that's it so I can replacement it myself. She told they cant do that unless I bought the wheelchair from them. I explained that's ridiculous what if I want to a Toyota dealership asking for a piece and I didn't buy the Toyota from them would they refused to sell it to me. She then put me on hold for 20 mins and hung up. Ridiculous company waste of time.

He went above and beyond to help me when things could have easily fallen through the cracks. Luis made sure everything was set up perfectly and followed through long after normal business hours, not because he had to, but because he genuinely cares about people. As the director of a church that runs a mission called elite transport club for stranded wheelchair users and wheelchair services and helping those who have no other mobility options. I see firsthand how critical compassion and reliability are in this kind of work. Luis showed both, and then some. His professionalism and heart for service truly stand out, and it’s rare to meet someone who understands the importance of mobility the way he does. We’re grateful for his dedication and for National Seating & Mobility for having someone like him on their team. How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?

Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
