Only reason why I’m not giving 1 star is because the guy helping me pick out lenses and frames was nice other wise this place sucks! All the reviews have to be fake. Even with insurance they still try and scam you. Saying I have stigmatism, toric all this crap I never heard off to rip Me off on my exam and get more expensive contacts. I was fooled by the high rating reviews so I hope the next person isn’t fooled !

Timothy at Lens Crafters in Daytona Beach, was phenomenal. He not only assisted my mom and I with mom’s frame selection, but he was also fast and efficient with obtaining the necessary information to properly place her eyeglass order. She purchased 2 pairs of lighter and darker tinted glasses, and Timothy gave her a nice discount.

Tim delivered the best guest experience. He kept me entertained and laughing. The system was giving him trouble but he worked hard to stay calm and get me the glasses that I wanted. Tim made this my best experience buying glasses yet. Thank you so much Tim for making me feel more than just a customer.

Very frustrating experience. I confirmed with customer service ahead of time that the $39 retinal imaging fee was optional. When I arrived for my appointment, the office told me they would not perform the exam at all unless I paid for the imaging. That directly contradicted what I was told beforehand, and there is no clear information on the website stating that imaging is mandatory at this location. I understand providers can set their own policies, but patients deserve consistent and transparent information before scheduling. Being turned away over an unexpected add-on fee, especially when I needed an urgent exam for night driving issues, was extremely disappointing. I hope this location and the website improves communication so others are not put in the same situation. Clear communication is especially important in healthcare, and this experience fell short.

Frequently Asked Questions About LensCrafters

How do I know if my child needs glasses?

Taking your child to an optometrist for an eye exam is the best way to learn if your child needs glasses. Many children who need glasses aren’t aware that they do. Signs of vision problems in children include sitting too close to the television, squinting, sensitivity to light, difficulty with eye-hand coordination, and avoiding visual activities like reading and drawing. To see if your child needs glasses, schedule your child’s eye exam today.

Is a contact lens exam different than an eye exam?

A normal, comprehensive eye exam will allow your optometrist to determine if your eyes are healthy enough to wear contact lenses. During your contact lens fitting, detailed measurements of your eyes will be taken to determine the right contact lenses for you. There is an additional fee for a contact lens fitting and evaluation for all contact lens patients (both new and established patients). Schedule your eye exam today to have all of your questions about contact lenses answered.
