From the moment I walked in everyone was so welcoming and personable.
Peggy, my Optician made this experience a breeze and worthwhile. She kept it real and honest on what looked good for the shape of my face and gave me suggestions on what I should add to my lenses.
This was my first time at Target Optical & I was pleasantly surprised.

I'm not sure what has happened to this place. I've been coming here for years, and this year was different. Apparently, they're no longer in network with my insurance. I wasn't told that when I checked in or during my exam. It wasn't until I was ordering my glasses and they refused to use my benefits (in full). I checked my benefits when I got home to see if something had changed, and that's when I saw they weren't in my network anymore. They NEVER said anything! My appointments are made after my visit (the same day). That says a lot about their integrity! I ended up paying a ridiculous amount out of pocket. I needed my new script for an upcoming trip, so I paid as I didn't have time to find a new doctor and wait on an appointment. The craziest part of my ordeal came when I placed an order for my contacts through Walgreens. I've always gotten my script for my lenses and purchased through Walgreens. I'd get my glasses through Target optical. Well, my order was canceled! Not once, but 4 times! I called Walgreens and they said Target was canceling my order. I call Target and they say, "THE DOCTOR WROTE YOUR SCRIPT FOR "MY DAY LENSES" AND THAT'S THE "ONLY" BRAND YOU CAN GET".! Guess what? That's a TARGET BRAND! WTH do I have to get Target only lenses when I've NEVER purchased lenses from them before? My Day Lenses are $130 per box and that's not even a year supply! Walgreens have name brand lenses far less than that price. I thought the optical center was independently owned and had no affiliation with Target? So why are they FORCING Target products on me/consumers? As I said, this was never an issue. I got my prescription from Target and filled it with Walgreens. Maybe it's because I'm no longer in network, I don't know. I paid out of pocket for this exam, and I should be able to take my prescription wherever I want to and have it filled! I only use my contacts for swimming, but what if I used them regularly? Why should I be forced to use a certain brand paying 3xs the amount? This is absurd! I complained about my contacts and asked to try mono vision. They told me to come in and get a trial box. I loved the mono vision, and proceeded to place an order. My order was canceled stating I put the wrong strength. I call Target, and they have NO NOTE of me ever receiving a trial for mono vision, lol! Despite me having a box! They refused to honor the new strength to be ordered via Walgreens, stating it'sbeen 6 months already. I had the new prescription BEFORE the 6 month mark! What a joke! How do you lose that information, ir fail to note my account? If you plan to patronize this location, make sure your insurance is still accepted (regardless of how long you've been going), and make sure you're able to take your prescription elsewhere! I definitely wasted my money this go round. My eyeglasses are complete trash! I can barely see and they give me ridiculous headaches! I will NEVER patronize this location again, and I'll warn anyone interested in going!
