I have been a patient since 2022 and have never been disappointed. My cornea transplant was perfect and every visit sine has been good. Staff is very knowledgeable and courteous.

Florida Eye Clinic staff are friendly and very professional. Dr. Daniel Dawson is extremely knowledgeable - the best I've found since I've lived in this state! I've seen him on several occasions and just had to go in for an Emergency visit. Glad he chose Clermont office to practice.

Everyone was courteous, Everyone explained their process, the Doctor explains as well. My only thing is that they don’t give you anything written as to their finding. I’m grateful that it went well and that I don’t have any problems. But would have been nice to see in writing.
I won’t be returning. The staff were all very kind and professional, but my experience with Dr. Dawson felt very rushed. He was only in the room for about two minutes and seemed to move quickly from another patient to mine. He didn’t wait for the assistant to come in and instead called out instructions from the doorway, which made the visit feel a bit disorganized and overwhelming.
Additionally, after my eyes were dilated, I wasn’t provided anything to help protect them when leaving the office. I had to cover my eyes and carefully make my way to my car, as I couldn’t see well at all. Thankfully, I had parked close by, but better accommodations would have been appreciated.

MY NEW GLASSES ARE TERRIBLE!!
I had an eye exam at Florida Eye Clinic (FEC) in Clermont on 1/13/26 as I was experiencing hazy vision. I was given a new prescription for glasses. I picked up my new glasses from FEC on 1/22. I tried wearing them for a few weeks but I couldn't read the road signs and billboards clearly. I couldn't drive with them. In fact my vision was better without the new glasses. I contacted FEC and told them about the issues. I was given an appointment for 2/20 to do another exam. I did the re-exam and tech said prescription was correct. Then she told me I was wearing the glasses wrong. REALLY!!! She didn't listen to me about my hazy vision and the letters on the screen were not clear. I felt defeated. They took my insurance benefits and my co-pay and now were dismissing my poor vision. On 3/2, I went to get a 2nd opinion which I had to pay. The doctor said my prescription was correct but was told I had a membrane growing behind both lenses which was causing my hazy vision. This growing membrane is a common occurrence after cataract surgery--my surgery was 11/2023. I was given a referral to have laser surgery to remove these membranes. FEC didn't do any pre-testing before my 2 exams like my 2nd doctor did. And FEC missed the growth behind my lenses--they just took insurance and my co-pay. After my laser surgery is done. I will probably need a new prescription and my insurance benefit is gone, meaning I will be stuck with that expense.
Due to my hazy vision, I have stopped driving. I have to wait until after 4/1 to see new specialist because I was "tied" to FEC. Who knows when laser surgery will be. I'm devastated that FEC treated me so badly.
