Had surgery on Tuesday and have a two night stay planned. My first day and night was outstanding. My night shift nurse was Flo and my day shift nurse was Mislano in addition to the CP, and others I don’t know the names of. What great service! The knowledge, skills and ability of each staff member was wow factor. Each one engaged me, asked questions, showed compassion, and truly cared for me when I could not take care of myself. Each one was a good listener and if I asked for something or a question that was out of their wheelhouse they called the person responsible. I am really fortunate to have such a wonderful team caring for me. As for my surgeon Dr. Valero and his OR team, they were responsive, explained the procedure to me and took great care of me before, during and after my surgery. Thank you so much for putting me at ease and providing superior care.

Wonderful, wonderful care at this location!!! I had two biopsies on my right side, and all of the nurses, technicians, and doctors were excellent in every way. They showed compassion during the process and patiently guided me along the way. I asked a lot of questions which were answered with expertise, experience and knowledge. Marquis was with me throughout the entire process from beginning to end. She did a fantastic job of making me feel comfortable and safe. God bless all of you who do such dedicated work for your patients. You are all truly amazing, skilled people. Thank you so much for your kind care of me. 🩷💕

Bethesda East has truly been a lifeline for my dad. When his condition declined so severely that he needed emergency surgery, their team moved with a level of urgency, skill, and compassion that quite literally saved his life. Since October 2025, we’ve had to return three times, and every single visit has reminded us why we trust this hospital so deeply. The staff and providers consistently treat patients and families with dignity, respect, and genuine humanity. The pre‑op nurses who call with instructions are always professional, patient, and thorough. They make you feel prepared, informed, and cared for. Nurses like Pilar and Val embody the true “Pineapple” values: warmth, hospitality, kindness, and steadiness. Their presence was calming for my father during some of the most frightening moments of his life. They didn’t just provide care; they provided comfort, reassurance, and a sense of safety that our family will never forget. We are deeply grateful. Thank you for the exceptional care and for treating my dad like a person, not a case number. Your compassion made all the difference.

And I ONLY gave a two star because my nurse and tech were great, But I arrived a Bethesda Hospital approximately around 3am Tuesday March 31st due to my son who is 11 months having a high fever of 103 and vomiting. The registration process was pretty quick my Ed nurse Joshua was very helpful and interactive with my son as well as my Ed tech Desirae who came to swab my son nose to run test. As time went by Joshua came back and lets us know that all the test can back negative my child father then raised a concern about him possibly having oral thrush and we requested him to bring the doctor back so that he could check but when Doctor Odome John came back my son barley opened his mouth and he told us that it was “ milk “ I then told him how is it milk if I can see it on his lips, the roof of his mouth and inner cheeks he the looked at as I was wrong for questioning his statement and told me “ if it was thrush it would be bleeding. I then set an appointment immediately with my pediatrician and she instantly knew it was thrush and now we are getting the proper treatment. All this is to say “ Doctors “ or not always right please go with your mom instincts, because that was honestly very concerning and I’ve should’ve know by the way he never looked happy to be there. But Joshua and Desirae were THE BEST out of this whole TERRIBLE experience. If this wasn’t the closest children hospital I’d never come here. Go somewhere else if you can but if it’s life or death I guess but they’ll probably just deem everything as a viral infection and send you home when it could be otherwise. Be safe everyone. 🫶🏾

Recently my husband was discharged. He was in the hospital for about 10 days he had 2 surgeries, the right leg he had stents placed, and on the left foot had his toes amputated, so surgery went will. He developed a fever and they checked just to make sure that it was not the surgical site. Thank God that it was not. So was given antibiotics, from IV antibiotics, he was given oral medication. Then he was discharged with no wound care from home health, no physical therapy and no transportation arrangements. I had said time and time again we live on a second floor. I ended up taking my husband home and then call 911 so that the firemen could help take him upstairs to my apartment. This has been the worst visit I have ever experienced in my life. So unprofessional and unsafe discharge. As far as my rating it's a minus 1. Never again.
