  I had top surgery with Dr. Whitehead December 30th, it’s been a little over 2 months now and I am extremely happy with my results. I really like Dr. Whitehead’s calm approach since the beginning of our consultation, he’s a very matter of fact kind of person who is still able to show compassion and care about his patients. He walks you through every step on how to be successful pre-op and post-op and you’re left feeling secure in your choice to have a life changing procedure. Post-op I have been dealing with insurance issues and Rizwan has been a huge help, making sure the issue is resolved and being very communicative. I also want to shout out Mandy, the nurse who tended to me before and after the procedure. She was very comforting and pleasant. All the staff members who worked on my procedure have been very helpful and transparent. Dr. W is extremely skilled in his line of work and my results are proof of that. I now have the confidence to go to the gym without worrying about my chest and that makes a world of a difference to me. I was never able to go to the gym, or takes walks/jogs because I was so anxious and dysphoric about my chest. Now I don’t even have to think about that, now I have the opportunity to shape my body the way I want to and it’s surreal. I would recommend Dr. Whitehead and his team if you’re looking for all of these qualities in a surgeon.

  I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Whitehead and staff for my gender affirming surgery. They made the entire process painless and I always felt looked after. Communication with the team was so easy and they kept in touch throughout recovery.

  For many years, I searched for the right place to have my gender reassignment surgery. It was a long and complicated process, as no doctor was truly able to be honest with me or give me real confidence about the entire journey. That all changed the day I found information about the clinic of Dr. John Whitehead and Dr. Ramírez. From the moment I arrived at the clinic, my first impression was Nicole, a beautiful, sensitive, and incredibly caring person who provided outstanding support from the very beginning. Then, the staff member in charge of reviewing my medical insurance also gave me a wonderful, clear, and professional experience. The entire team makes you feel calm, safe, and truly cared for. The doctor was very clear and precise, explaining every detail of the procedure, including both the pros and cons, while always guaranteeing the highest level of professionalism, honesty, and dedication. I had many fears regarding depth and post-operative pain, especially because I am a transgender woman with many years of hormone therapy. I must say that when I woke up from surgery, I felt no pain at all. I don’t know if it was due to the excellent pain management or the incredible work of the surgical team, but I only experienced mild, occasional discomfort. When I woke up, the nursing staff—Magie and a wonderful young man from Colombia—gave me an amazing level of care. They are extremely kind, attentive, and truly human. I also can’t forget to mention Dr. Ramírez, who even formed a lovely friendship with my husband that day (haha). Regarding depth, it was perfect. I can perform my dilations without any problems, I have sensation, and my vagina is fully functional and aesthetically beautiful. God bless the hands of Dr. Whitehead and Dr. Ramírez. The only recommendation I would give is to have patience during the healing process. The results on the first day do not resemble what your vagina will ultimately look like. It is essential to follow all the team’s instructions to the letter. I truly don’t understand how there could be any negative comments about this doctor’s work. The entire team is incredible and outstanding. Do not be afraid to have your surgery here—believe me, it will be the best decision and experience of your life, with the best possible results.
