- VMVern MiskowichNov 17, 20253.0Recently the Planet Fitness club in Seaford Delaware decided to reduce the hours it will be open starting December 1. It was open 24 hours 5 days a week and from 6am on weekends. Now it will be opening at 5am during the week and closing earlier and open 7am to 7pm on weekends. This is both a farming and commuter area so people work out at 4am so they can either work on the farm at 5am or go back home and get ready for work that is an hour away. So these new hours don’t work for us early risers. Many of us are looking for a new gym that are 24 hour gyms. The Seaford club is going to lose many of us as members and will not recommend that club anymore. The next closest PF club is 22 miles away that is open 24 hours. Apparently the CEO was very happy with the new hours. So boycott Planet Fitness. Really stupid move Planet Fitness.

With this impending change coming to the opening times, there is a sizable contingent of gym-goers that will be forced to find a new gym home as a 5:00AM opening doesn't support our work schedules. I would like to think that a quick check of their own analytics would allow PF to make a prudent decision to support their most ardent members. We aren't asking for 24 hour operations, just a 4AM start time. EDIT to reply below. The manager is NEVER present during my time at the location and doesn't reply to messages left. I have shared communications with the franchise holder. I have spoken with PF Corporate Customer Success who has agreed that analytics support the 4AM start time, but they don't issue edicts to their franchisees about hours of operation.

Placing the machines in front of a short wall isn’t enough. It’s VERY uncomfortable opening/closing my legs in front of a bunch of men. Please consider putting them back where they were before.
