Since Wendy took over the department, the 180 degree turnaround in service has been nothing short of astonishing. I was ready to take my business elsewhere before she arrived. Great, friendly service.

Unpleasant service: Safeway Pharmacy called me to say my prescription was ready. When I went to pick it up the pharmacy told me the med was out of stock. I was flabbergasted. I needed to take it daily. I asked her why I wasn’t forewarned, (I could have skipped the one-hour drive and gone to another pharmacy) the staff merely shrugged her shoulders. I asked her if she could transfer the Rx to another pharmacy. Again she shrugged. I asked when the drug would be available, she shook her head, indifferent. It was around the New Year’s Eve weekend; if i didn’t get the medication, i would go without it for three or four days. During that time I was in withdrawal and felt so sick; not until the other pharmacies reopened and one of them filled my prescription in two days that I felt better. Why would a pharmacy would tell a customer her Rx is ready when it’s not; why wouldn’t it call the customer when it was discovered the med wasn’t available? Don’t they have a professional code of ethics/conduct?

This is one of the worst pharmacies that I have ever dealt with. Please consider whether you want slow incompetent service and being hung up on when they fail to fill your prescription.

11/15/2024 UPDATE: Wendy is here now…so everyone at Acme and CVS needs to transfer here! She’s wonderful
Stephen is fantastic and very personable. Plus this pharmacy is a hidden gem as I never see it busy compared to the big 3 pharmacies.

i have only ever had terrible experiences with this safeway pharmacy. each visit has resulted in a waste of time and a strong discomfort due to the overall bad attitude of each pharmacist i’ve encountered. the first time going they can’t find my prescription. when they do find it i give the pharmacist a coupon but she tells me there’s no copay. after ringing up my medication she tells me there’s a copay so i give her the coupon. she then rudely tells me she won’t give me the discount (with no explanation as to why) and pushes the bag towards and walks away. the second time i went to this pharmacy the pharmacist (not the same woman) took fifty minutes to do just the transaction part of helping one customer before me. while checking me out, everything she says to me is very quiet and she gets angry with me when i ask her to repeat something. i give her everything she asks me for and a coupon code. she tells me it would take an HOUR to apply this discount. at any other pharmacy i’ve been to it takes less than three minutes. if employees at the location are too lazy to apply a discount and are as rude to customers as they are i’d suggest finding new pharmacists. this location has possibly the worst customer service i’ve ever seen.
