I didn't receive services here but I noticed misinformation provided on their website. On the website it stated ALL DC medicaid is accepted. However when I called to schedule an appt, the representative stated that they don't participate with Medstar Family Choice DC (DC Medicaid). I inquired about the inconsistent information being relayed vs. what is stated on the website, the rep stated that "they probably just haven't updated the website".

I took my daughter for a routine root canal. Her appointment was at 10:00 am we weren’t called to the back for X-ray/numbing until 12:00 pm which was administered by a different doctor. At 12:18pm I asked where was the dentist and why wasn’t he starting on my child procedure? I was told he’s in his office texting & procrastinating verbatim from his staff, so I walked to his office & politely asked how much longer will it be and should we reschedule?Dr Kalombo response was I’m finishing up with this text,I’ll be there.Upon him finally coming to do procedure he dismissed me & said I can’t be present for the procedure because it’s standing room only.I heard my child scream all da way from the lobby I ran back to see what’s causing so much pain.?I was dismissed again I wasn’t aware of what occurred until my daughter came out. She told the DR that if she’s feeling any pain she will raise her hand to let him know she needs more anesthesia. She did just that and he told my child to hush your not in any pain. The dental assistant had to speak up an advocate for my child and insisted he administer more Novacaine. My child was given 3-5 rounds of a low amount of Novacaine and still felt everything during the procedure which is unacceptable. She goes to the dentist often and has never had a painful/unprofessional treatment like this. How dare him to tell her to hush your not in that much pain everyone body is uniquely different & everyone has a different pain tolerance. Also I forgot to mention when I asked how much longer before he gets started he told his assistant to tell me he is technically “squeezing us in “to in which I responded this isn’t a emergency appointment. We were referred here and has had the appointment for a few weeks now. Meaning if there was a discrepancy you all had weeks to rectify that.So no we weren’t squeezed in. I also would like to specify the staff was pleasant and helpful my only complaint is with the dentist Dr Kalombo who bed side manners suck. 0/10 do not recommend.‼️

Just cancelled my 1st appointment here because staffer said, earlier, that I can't have recent X-rays from another dentist sent to their office because I would've been a 1st time patient at their office. She said they have to do their own X-rays for this reason. Why should my insurance pay for the EXACT same service (x-rays less than a month old or so) when those resources can be used for other needed/more immediate services like getting a tooth filled? Make it make sense.

I will never go back to this place. Only good thing is the front desk staff and assistants are very welcoming and nice. The dentist “ Dr. Louis B. Kalombo” is not welcoming or gentle at all. He is actually very rude. It was my first time there and when he finally came to assist me after waiting 30 minutes he did not say a word. He just started working on my mouth. I have never been to this place before this day and I say something to him about not introducing himself or even tell me what he is doing to my mouth, he says “oh I’ve already seen you as a patient before” NO HE DID NOT. NOT EVER HAVE I BEEN TO THAT DENTIST. Even IF that was the case you should still greet your patient. I am not a stranger to nor afraid of needles and it felt like he just rammed it in my gums. I received a root canal by the way. Not only was the experience scary and uncomfortable, the “permanent” cap that was put on my tooth fell off within 3 days even after doing and not doing what I was instructed to.
