Beware of scam! Online, I specifically scheduled a comprehensive exam ~without~ digital retinal imaging. At check-in (12/12/25 4:15pm), the receptionist attempted to charge me $130. I said "Hmm... that's a bit higher than the website said." She paused at least 5 seconds, clearly frustrated to have been caught, then claimed I was required to obtain the digital retinal imaging if I wanted the provider to enter the exam results on my form. I said "It's $40 to have her fill out a form?" The receptionist claimed "if you need any kind of form filled out, you need the imaging. She'll sit down with you and go through the scans." Neighbors, this was a complete lie. The provider did not mention or reference the scans in any way during my assessment, did not pull them up on the screen, and did not need them to fill out my form; she only needed the tests conducted during her assessment. Of course, I was then charged for both the assessment and the imaging, as you can see.
Note this review is only not 1-star because the provider herself was excellent. She was kind, knowledgable, patient, and demonstrated integrity. But if access to a great provider requires passing through a front desk who will lie and deceive repeatedly (first, attempting to charge for services I specifically opted out of; then, when caught in the deception, to dig an even deeper hole with an explicit lie) to upsell customers, then I cannot possibly recommend this location to others.

The good: the very helpful staff at this location were able to fix my unwearable bent brand new glasses in a few minutes. They were great.
The bad: I paid $250 for wire frame glasses that were unusable out of the box and necessitated an immediate maintenance visit.
Very grateful to the associates at the Navy Yard location who fixed the frames swiftly and saved me from a return.
