I joined Vida back in August and it was truly the best decision I’ve made in my fitness journey. I go between the Logan circle and Ballston locations and always appreciate the luxury feel of Vida, the friendly staff and the classes they have. In particular, I joined after a cycle class with TJ, it was probably the best class I’ve ever done & I’ve been a member of multiple different gyms in DC the last decade. I’m a Vida girl for life now— you should definitely take the chance & join or at least come on an open house day & try TJ’s cycle class!!

I’ve been a VIDA member on and off for more than a decade. I primarily used the Gallery Place location until it closed and didn’t have many complaints. Logan Circle needs some serious upgrades. The steam room is routinely offline and hot water in the showers is a rarity. For what they charge monthly, I expect more. Don’t tell me “DC plumbing” is the excuse for no hot water. It’s insulting. Do better.

Recently moved to DC and was searching for a gym to join. Larry at Vida Logan Circle made it easy for me to try it out. Gave me a great tour. Even lent me a lock for the lockers. The gym is spacious and never felt crowded. Equipment is high tier and well maintained. Glad to have found my new gym in a friendly place to work out.

Online, their AI told me - on 3 different days, no less as I was double checking my memory - that day passes were $29.
I called ahead, and, after they didn’t pick up the first time, explained I was coming in for a day pass and wanted to make sure they had the seated shoulder lat raise machine and was told they did.
Got there, had a little wait to get set up to tour the facility to make sure the machines were right for my disability, was then told day passes are actually $45 + tax, and then finally found out they don’t even have a lat raise machine. Total waste of my time.

I had my valuables stolen right off the gym floor (gym bag, phone, wallet, keys, etc) because a staff member gave them to someone else and didn’t verify anything before letting that person walk out the door. For that obvious reason I can’t recommend that you give this establishment at least one hundred and fifty dollars a month to be a member here.
I recovered my things outside of the gym immediately after having them stolen. The management staff here knows exactly who stole my valuables and that person is a regular member here. After getting branch management involved, I was told that the chain manager would get in touch with me to talk through this very serious event. In the ~month since this has happened, no one from chain management has contacted me nor has any of the management staff here given me an update about this situation.
VIDA management on multiple levels have had infinite opportunities to not only resolve this situation, but let a long time member know about what, if anything, is being done. The member who stole my valuables still attends this facility and no action has been taken.
So, either:
1) Multiple levels of management have decided to sweep this under the rug in hopes that I would forget
Or
2) Have decided to let someone who they have not only seen, but recorded on video steal the valuables of another member, and have chosen not to do anything about it.
I was hoping that I could keep this between myself and VIDA management, but after more than a month of this situation not being resolved, and not being given any update on the status of the member who stole my valuables, I have no other choice than to post this publicly so that people who are either thinking of becoming members, or are current members, know that VIDA will not only tolerate theft, but will allow the person responsible to continually use this facility.
This is unacceptable and I’m sure that any reputable establishment who is aware of theft happening on its premises would at minimum restrict and ban the person responsible. VIDA management have chosen to allow theft to occur at this location. Stay away and give your hard earned dollars to an establishment that respects you enough to have a zero tolerance policy for theft.
Edit after the response from management below my original review: Unreal. How is a turnstile supposed to stop someone who is a member at this location from walking out with someone else's belongings? You're effectively passing the blame for this on to me for assuming that my stuff won't be touched in a $150/month facility, when you have video recordings and multiple verbal accounts informing you of exactly who committed theft at your location? How do you explain an "internal investigation" taking more than a month for a simple incident of theft? You want me to "keep working" with the branch management when they have not once offered any kind of update on this situation or even provided a formal apology at bare minimum? Absolute joke.
