I genuinely look forward to going to Westside Body Building—something I never thought I’d say about a gym! The atmosphere is incredibly friendly and encouraging, and you feel welcome right away no matter your fitness level.
The workouts are different every day, which keeps things interesting, and the rolling start is a huge plus—no pressure to make a specific class time.
Matt is outstanding. He knows how to motivate you while making it a positive experience, and it’s clear he truly cares about everyone who comes through the door each day.
I’m seeing the benefits physically and I actually enjoy working out. Highly recommend!

Finding a fitness environment that balances high-level utility with a genuine sense of community is rare, but this gym manages it effortlessly. Since joining, the transition from ”should work out more frequently" to a consistent 2–4 workouts per week has been surprisingly seamless.
What distinguishes this space:
The Logistics: Start times are flexible within multiple windows throughout the week. This makes the workout much more accessible, accommodating a demanding schedule without the usual friction of rigid class blocks.
The Facility: It is a refreshingly wide-open space with a nice variety of high-quality equipment.
The Workouts: Each day is a new workout routine that Matt (owner) will walk you through upon arrival. You then complete the routine at your own pace with support and guidance from Matt to ensure proper form, answer questions along the way, etc. This approach strikes a perfect balance between guided instruction and self-driven progress.
The Culture: Matt has managed to build a community even amongst people who never work out at the same time or together. His daily cheeky emails often cause me to smirk and the weekly workout counts provide just the right amount of data-driven accountability to keep everyone on their toes.
If you’re looking for a professional, well-maintained facility that doesn't take itself too seriously (while still taking your results very seriously), this is the place.
