    When I cancelled my membership I was told and my paperwork stated my last day would be 11/16. I was then charged on 11/17 for another month when I reached out they tried claiming I had to make the change by 11/10 even though the paperwork and employee stated otherwise. I cancelled due to financial reasons but sure won’t return when I chose to pay for a gym again based on this experience. Edit: After emailing the email in the reply they repeated what the club told me. However not a single person has explained to me why the agreement they presented and I signed is not valid. The Southbury club and now planet fitness customer service refuses to acknowledge the agreement they provided and I signed. They only apologize that the employee gave me the incorrect information, but he gave me the same information the agreement has. Due to the response I am getting I will be sure to tell everyone not to sign up for planet fitness.

    On October 7, 2025, at 6am, I attended this gym for the first time as a guest. We were greeted by a cheerful, bubbly, and welcoming receptionist. We were also being given the RBF from the employee behind her, leaning against the counter, oozing "I can't be bothered!" vibes. When cheerful turned to RBF for assistance in my guest checkin, RBF grabbed the tablet off the counter, which was still attached to the charging doc and plugged into the wall, whipped around ripping the entire package off the counter and out of the wall, and needed it all to the floor! RBF then looked at cheerful, pointed at the floor, did not say a word, and made cheerful pickup the pieces RBF yeeted to the ground! Still without a word, RBF asked for my information. I then looked at cheerful and loudly announced, "THANK YOU FOR PICKING THAT UP FOR HER!" RBF did not even acknowledge cheerful, nor my comment, nor her absolutely entitled rude behavior! The member I was with asked RBF if she was the manager, and she replied, "No, the manager is out on medical leave." We obtained her name, which is REMZA, and rest assured, when we returned today, she was at the counter, same stance, but gave us "the stink eye" instead of any sort of greeting. Cheerful was there to welcome us again. I recommend that everyone who visits this gym, shows REMZA the courtesy of learning FAAFO! #bet

    Was going when they first opened in morning. Cancelled membership as they don’t manage floor and the users. Members dont clean equipment, setup two machines simultaneously, etc. Not a pleasent experience

    People are nice and stuff mostly works, but the air conditioner is set to about 80 degrees, I'm supposed to sweat while working out, not before I start.

    Had memberships at gyms for 30 years. I would rate this above average. Depends on your needs. Cardio pretty good. Weights average to slightly below. Plyometric minimal. Equipment in average to above average condition. Members are fine. More older people then most gyms but near heritage village no surprise but no problem. One word of advise. While they maintain an average to above cleanliness I did get a fungal infection from gym. Now I will say I got one a decade earlier from another gym so can't blame them exclusively but make sure you wear shower shoes and full body rinse off after workouts.
