First of all, every time I’m in there, there is some poor older person who cannot use your computer check-in system. They have a very hard time getting peoples’ attention, and then people are rude to them. Yesterday, there was an older man, and he told the guy that he had an appointment, but he couldn’t figure out the computer. The guy said hold on and he went back and then another blonde girl came out and she said what’s the problem. He said I have an appointment, but I don’t know how to use your computer and she looked annoyed, asked his name, and said hold on and she went back in and then she came out and said you don’t have an appointment. The. she looked at his license and she went back and then she came out and said oh your name is misspelled in the system. Then she went back and sent somebody else out to help him check in. That person didn’t even acknowledge his existence, but stood next to him in line and then made him a new appointment because the first girl hadn’t conveyed apparently that he had an appointment just under the wrong name. It was a huge ordeal and this poor man was embarrassed and frustrated, and everyone was rude to him. The second person who had come out for him was this young blonde girl. She eventually called me. My son and I had appointments at the same time. When we got in the room, I said he has an appointment as well. Can you take him too? She said no whoever’s up next will take him. I said well I’m just concerned he’s going to get called and he’s in here with me and he’s going to miss his appointment. She said no he won’t miss his appointment. Eventually, a guy poked his head in and said is this him and I said yes, but you cannot take him without me. And then she agreed she would take him after me. Somehow, this was totally fine now even though I had asked her to do that, and it was impossible to do a few minutes earlier. She looked like she was having a bad day, which is no excuse to be rude to the customers. She has a pretty easy job relatively speaking and beyond finding the right spot for the needle and some administrative work, she just has to be nice to people. She was not. She did soften up once my son was in the chair, but he said that she was hasty when she pulled the needle out and I didn’t realize he had blood for an hour after we left there and he soaked through a couple of. Band-Aids. Between the fact that not one of the three people who helped the old man could put a smile on their face and were nice to him, and then the fact that they’re an annoyance seemed to overflow into my experience, it was just all unnecessary. It is quite rude that there’s nobody there to help these older people. I see it every single time I come in there. It’s not their fault you decided to eliminate humans from the process. A little compassion and kindness would go a long way.
