I joined Club Pilates about two months ago and unfortunately my experience has been overwhelmingly negative. I am not new to Pilates and consider myself fairly advanced. I was pleased to see Level 2 classes available, as I regularly take Level 2 at another studio and find the 1.5 classes insufficiently challenging. I took a Level 2 class at Club Pilates without issue, then booked additional Level 2 classes—only to be told afterward that I was not allowed to take them. I was removed from all Level 2 classes I had booked, leaving me with very limited options. The way Level 2 classes are handled felt less about safety and far more like policing. I had already taken a Level 2 class at this studio without any issue, yet was later told by Leigh that my form “wasn’t good enough” and that I was not allowed to take Level 2 at all. I found this insulting—especially given that I am young, healthy, fit, and have successfully taken Level 2 Pilates both here and at other studios. When I asked if she would help correct my form or offer modifications, she refused and gave me no options whatsoever. If my form was not “perfect,” it was largely because no modifications were offered to make movements more accessible. I am about 5 feet tall and, like many shorter people, sometimes require adjustments in Pilates, this was not acknowledged or accommodated. I did not find the Level 2 classes overly challenging and was genuinely offended at being barred from them after already having taken 2 at the studio successfully. The interaction felt punitive and condescending rather than instructional, and it did not come across as a genuine safety concern—only rigid enforcement without care, coaching, or consistency. Leighs demeanor felt aggressive, dismissive, and unwelcoming. She does not offer clear explanations in class and becomes visibly irritated when students are unsure, and teaches more like a drill sergeant than a Pilates instructor. While I don’t have issues with other instructors, this experience highlights a larger problem with Club Pilates’ structure: inconsistent policies, poor communication, unclear cueing, and not enough modifications to make exercises easier or more challenging. Because I was barred from Level 2 and cannot reliably get into 1.5 classes, I can’t depend on this membership for my regular exercise routine. Joining Club Pilates has been a mistake for my physical health and fitness goals because I can not get into classes and the level instructors teach is inconsistent. I would not recommend it to anyone with prior Pilates experience who expects thoughtful instruction, flexibility, or a supportive environment.

Horrible!! Leigh is the rudest instructor! This place is awful and I really don’t recommend it! They make to take a workshop for level 2 classes but they don’t offer the workshops weekly! This instructor had terrible instruction, she old. Aggressive and rude!!

Most teachers are great & I do feel better when I take regular classes. The place is very clean. Some instructors are not careful to help clients with correct form. Classes are hard to get into unless you can plan 10 days ahead. Policies are inflexible (cancellation policy, not allowed in if 5 mins late & then also charged $15 “no show”).

Warning to new members: the waitlist is 10 people deep for most classes at least 4 weeks out. You can’t get in! I tried flagging this with them and asking for them to resolve by providing access to other studios. They refused. Asked to cancel, getting hit with 30 days notice and still unable to take a class. They have oversubscribed the studio and they can’t handle the capacity. Don’t join!!

Great classes that get you strengthened and stretched. Space is clean and well maintained. The studio is a little small, but it works. . You have to schedule in advance and manage your times but once in a routine, it’s worth it. So happy they have opened near me.
