- FFFrankMar 2, 20265.0National Seating & Mobility (NSM) Is an Excellent Company & they have Excellent Service Representative's that are very respectful & knowledgeable & care about their clients. If you are Disabled & have a serious need for help with your mobility concerns & really need the right medical equipment, they will do their best to get you what you need & what's right for you. They helped me get the Electric Mobility Power Chair I needed. It can be a little bit of a timely process with the Insurance's Approval part but I have no complaints otherwise. NSM was great to work with & they provided for me what I needed as a Medically Disabled Patient with Serious Mobility Issues & Difficulties that Greatly Limited my Ability to Walk or even Stand. I will recommend NSM to everyone in need of serious help with their Mobility Issues & Difficulties because from my Experience with NSM they are an Excellent Company Service for Disabled people in need of Mobility Help. Thank you so much, "NSM" !!!!!!!!!!

How long does it take to get a new power wheelchair from NSM?
NSM strives to complete each timeline phase as quickly as possible without compromising any step in the process. Please refer to this page for the full timeline. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why must I see a doctor to get a wheelchair from NSM?
Our clients have mobility challenges and are referred to us by therapists and physicians to receive mobility solutions that meets all their unique needs. If you need a wheelchair, your best plan is to talk with your physician or therapist and get a thorough evaluation from a qualified Rehab Technology Supplier (RTS).
What if my medical condition changes?
Contact your local NSM branch and notify us of any changes that may affect the proper fit and function of your chair.
Are there any dangers in using an off-the-shelf wheelchair?
Definitely. A standard or not customized chair can cause more harm than good. People come in all shapes and sizes; their chairs must be designed to fit them. In severe situations, a standard or not customized chair may:
- Cause significant physiological and psychological problems
- Lead to an increase in dependence because it’s not used due to lack of comfort
- Cause pressure sores, or decubitus, due to improper cushioning
- Become obsolete quickly if not configured to “grow with the child”
- Become a major expense to replace or reconfigure, because most funding sources will only reimburse for a new chair every five years.
Do I have a choice of which mobility solutions company to use?
