  I met Dr. Shepherd at the darkest point in my life, after 2 painful failure visits in 24 hours to a Hartford area level 1 trauma center. She skillfully treated me transforming my pain from a 10 to a manageable 2. She gave me an honest assessment and range of options. She put me at ease with her calm but kind demeanor. In the weeks that followed she ran the necessary tests and developed options. Because of her honest caring care I had complete faith in her and asked if I was your relative, what would you advise? She took the time to explain the pros and cons and I went with her advise. It's been 2 years since my surgery and my quality of life is more than I had imagined! Her follow up care has been fantastic!!! I thank God that I was fortunate enough to meet her when I did!!! Dr. Shepherd is an extremely talented physician who in addition to being fiercely intelligent and driven to provide great care, is amazingly kind and treats the person which can be more powerful than medicine!!!! Only God can perform miracles, but Dr .Shepard gave me a chance for a quality life. I truely believe if you need a phenomenal Urologist, Dr. Shepherd will give you the best outcome possible!
